Cons: The range on this helicopter is limited to about 4 feet, response is extremely slow, does not fly forward or backward.

Pros: It turns on? The helicopter itself is well made for the price and comes with extra rotors. You will need em.

Cons: 1. The controls are completely unresponsive
2. When the controls do work for a split second, there is a huge lag time
3. The light at the end of the transmitter has to be pointed directly, and I mean directly to get any sort of response from this thing
4. The software on the iphone sucks donkey balls.
5. The trim adjustments do not work at all

Other Thoughts: I am an RC enthusiast and wanted to get something small i can try to mod and thought it was a cool idea to control with the ipad or iphone. Boy was I wrong.

The controls are the major problem here. They are unresponsive 95% of the time and the 5% where it "kind of works" there is a huge lag time between the controls and the helicopter. You have to make sure the end of the transmitter that attaches to your iphone/ipad is pointing directly at the helicopter at all times or else it really goes out of control.

I was actually very impressed with the build of the helicopter. It has a lot of plastic part, but they are pretty durable and the frame is made of metal.

It is useless to me though because the controls are so horrible, you cannot use this thing for anything more than takeoff and crash. The cool factor is nice, but not practical. Get the one with the dedicated RC transmitter and it will be a lot more fun.
