How To Install:
In Windows 7, this is the process to installing the gaming receiver:
First, download the latest Xbox 360 PC driver from Microsoft
Go to Start>Devices and Printers
Right click on "Unknown Device" under Unspecified category
Click on "Properties"
Click on the "Hardware" tab
Click on "Properties"
Click on "Change settings"
Click on "Update Driver"
Click on "Browse my computer for driver software"
Click on "Let me pick from a list..."
Select the Microsoft Common Controller For Windows Class.
Then select the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Version 2.1.0.1349 [8/13/2009])

Pros: NONE

Cons: If you have windows 8.1 it will not work. Even if you use device settings and find the Xbox Controller and pick the driver this site say's to pick it still won't work. I've tried everything and NewEgg will not give my money back. So I'll be shopping at A M A Z O N from now on. Once again this does NOT WORK FOR WINDOWS 8.1.. It was made for WINDOWS VISTA.

Pros: Once installed, I hit the Xbox button on the controller and it's ready. Magnificent.

Other Thoughts: It's not hard to install, just follow the instructions on the overview page. It worked first try for me, and has not failed since.

Pros: Works perfectly. Follow the instructions in the overview to install properly. It sits on the corner of my desk. I turn the controller on, it connects automatically and I'm ready to play. Hasn't failed yet.

Cons: Requires a little work to install. Not difficult though.

Other Thoughts: Used to use my PS3 controller with Motioninjoy, which worked great. But, I wanted wireless. Very happy with my investment.

Pros: Works Great when you know how to install the software manually (windows 7 x64)

Other Thoughts: since no one is posting HOW to install it. i installed the software from the CD (you might not need too) but after that, go to the device manager, right click on the "unkown Device" then click on Update Drivers, from there Click "browse my computer for Driver software", then on the next window click on the "Let Me pick from a list of devices drivers on my computer" Scroll down until you see "Microsoft Common Controller For Windows Class", then click next. Select the Latest driver by date (atleast i did), then next. on the window that pops up hit yes, and once it finishes, click close, Go to device manager and make sure you see it there and then give it a try. Done.

Pros: Gets the job done, easy to sync controllers to.

Cons: Driver on the disk doesn't work... You have to download the Wireless Receiver driver from Microsoft, then force the device to run off it.

Pros: Very quick and responsive once it is connected. no interference whatsoever.

Cons: Start up disc is useless and requires you to go online to get the drivers which even then didn't work because I had to go into my files to activate the drivers. Just took some research to get it figured out.

Pros: Plugged in and ran the setup CD with win 7 x64 and it worked flawlessly.

Cons: none.

Cons: I can't seem to set up this device. When I put in the cd it said my version of windows wasn't compatible with the device. And then on the instructions on newegg here it says to go to that uk microsoft site and download the driver for windows 7, but the options doesn't include windows 7. So how am I suppose to download it?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Pros: after I got the right driver installed it has been working great.

Cons: doesn't install automatically on win 7. The driver is in in windows, but you have to navigate through the menus to find it.
