2 out of 5 eggsFrustration of the mount

Pros: Starts very reliably, with a number of different MicroSD cards.
Power and data cables included.
Very simple.

Cons: This suction cup doesn't suck (and that's a bad thing).
The recorded video is not so good.

Other Thoughts: I think I am ready to send this back over just the mount alone. I cleaned my wind shield and wiped the mount clean, but the thing still falls off within 10 minutes. I am not going to lick the suction cup, so don't suggest it.

The video is so jaggy, it looks like it might be upscaled.

Everything is forgivable, though, except for this mount.

2 out of 5 eggsWhat the heck?

Pros: Price

Cons: Lack of coherent instructions.
It focuses fine on my windshield wipers; unfortunately everything passed my wipers is out of focus. Can the focus be changed? How am I supposed to know with such pitiful documentation?
Spent about two hours trying to set the time/date. I can change it but it won’t remember it. Is this normal or is the unit defective?
I went through the entire menu system, it is very confusing.
If I can’t get the focus issue figured out back it goes.
I work in engineering, I usually can figure most things out, but not this thing.

Other Thoughts: I should have put the cost of this one toward a better system.

5 out of 5 eggsGood working little unit.

Pros: * Small Compact size that does not drastically interfere with view out of windshield.
* LCD screen so you can see where your cameras are pointed.
* Does not feel as flimsy as other units I have owned; has a more 'solid' feel to it.
* Setup Menu's are not to complicated.

Cons: * Documentation is not at all good; although it comes with more then most other Chinease units.
* You have to buy two (2) memory cards, one for each camera.
* Unique mounting system; doubt I'll be able to find a replacement after suction cup fails.... which is eventually will.

Other Thoughts: I have owned several dash cams. From the expensive ones with built-in GPS to the el-cheapo Amazonn ones. For the price, this dual camera system is actually pretty nice. First thing I'd like to point out is, you'll actually have to buy two microSD cards, one for each camera. Go ahread and buy a 32GB. I had originally purchased a 16, and that was enough for 4.5 hours of footage. Don't go cheap on your MicroSD cards either, for some reason, the no name brands have a high fail rate in that department. The manual calls for Class 6 or higher. It claims to have a 30 FPS framerate. After using two video programs, I found it was actually around 23.xx.. Still, it is smooth video and not choppy. The lenses really are wide angle; picks up stuff to the sides. Battery life is so-so; but in a car, I just leave it plugged into the 12 volt. Will upload a sample YouTube in the future and update this review. Also, video is not quite 720P according to my video editors either.

4 out of 5 eggsGood dashboard camera for the price but FULL instructions are not in english

Pros: Good thing about this unit is, plug it in (you need to purchase a micro SD card) and it auto starts up and records in 20 second increments. Video quality you can tell is 720 and not 1080, but it does have very good video quality, especially for the price. Unit is compact enough to barely be noticable behind my rear view mirroer. BAD is that there isnt a full instruction manual with this unit. It provides instructions that tell you what the buttons are named, but not how to work them or switch settings or change the date and time stamp. So if you dont want to figure this out, dont buy it =) but if you want to sit there and figure out how to use all its features, then its not a bad purchase. Im pretty tech savvy and im having trouble figuring this unit out.

Cons: Instructions are in english, but its missing alot of how to. It doesnt say hot to do basic things like set the date and time, change how long it records.

Other Thoughts: The company who sold me this unit is being very very very helpful in trying to help me even though I know it isnt their place to do so :) I appreciate the tech support from the company but this unit is from japan so dont expect gopro quality =)
