It is well-enough balanced and is everything I expected. The broken battery pack is primitive enough that even if my RMA attempt fails I should be able to restore it to functional status with a couple small wires, a little solder, and a bit of gorilla glue. Cons: The battery pack clips are poorly made. Really poorly. Only some thin glue holds them attached to the clip, and that's pretty easy to break while trying to remove the clip (which always gets stuck and thus requires breaking the clip from the pack to remove it from the Remote). The first pack wouldn't insert cleanly into the Will Remote. When I tried to remove it to try again, the entire pack broke off from the clip. From that point I discovered that the pack alone without the metal nodes only barely fits into the Wii Remote -- I had to force it. With the nodes and clip it simply doesn't fit at all. Woops. The second battery pack clip went on cleanly, but still cannot be removed without breaking the clip because the battery pack simply fits too snugly for the cheap glue to withstand the torque needed to dislodge it from the Remote. Other Thoughts: I suppose this might be an ok product if you NEVER plan to remove the battery pack clip again, and don't get a slightly-misshapen dud that doesn't even fit like I did. It still doesn't excuse the shoddy workmanship. These things are not reliably made and I can only recommend to avoid them. FYI, I'm using Official Nintendo Wii Remotes.
