1 out of 5 eggsGood Price - Poor Product

Pros: Price, features and advertising hooked me into this purchase of 10 units. After reviewing the other reviewers though I’d give the camera a chance. Seemed like most of the reviews where positive with single camera setups given it was a cheap camera to begin with. I was hoping for a plug and play network cameras to add to my BlueIris NVR to replace older CCTV DVR setups.

Cons: Setup is cumbersome if your subnet isn’t the same as a camera’s static IP. The default camera IP isn’t consistent with the label on the camera or documentation so it’s a bit of a guessing game figuring out the subnet of the camera. If you have a different subnet from cameras default or or then you’re in for hours of reconfiguring your network/computer/router to get it working, maybe. Using the provided CD with the IP Camera Search Tool provided worked once then kept loosing connection.

I’ve had 50% success rate in getting an image from the cameras. Was finally able to find an IP address using the tool provided to finally access two of the cameras via browser. Could never get an image from one camera and kept loosing network access to it. Wireless doesn’t seem to work even after configuring it on the camera.
Have not been able to get two of these cameras working as advertised. Have not opened the remained 8 boxes.

Tenvis Support gives out another IP subnet as well. Why this camera didn’t come with DHCP configured shows this company’s incompetence to support it. Advertising said it supported DHCP, common for network devices today. This was the first product I’ve purchased in years that came with a fixed IP address other than routers.

Pink camera image as well, Tenvis Support says this is normal for the IP602W since this camera does not have IR-cut off. That information should have been advertised up front saving me hours of effort and bypassing this purchase.

Tenvis Support didn’t provide much help during three emails. Their only solutions offered was what’s already on their website and poorly translated manual. They did offer to access my computer if I would install Teamviewer, like I’m going to open up my network to China in the middle of the night! What they were planning on doing to my computer is unknown.

Still waiting for an RMA.

Other Thoughts: I bought 10 for my outdoor and indoor NVR system. Like other security camera products purchased from NewEgg I expected a simple plug the camera into my network to get it working. In today’s marketplace its unacceptable for a vendor to expect the end user to reconfigure their network to integrate a product.
Save yourself the hassle and pass on these.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent, reliable camera

Pros: This camera has worked reliably for the paster several months. Image quality is excellent, the camera setup is fairy easy. this seems to be a pretty robust device. Tenvis technical support is the best I've seen on any consumer electronics product : speedy and eager to troubleshoot.

Cons: the wireless function will not work with the Apple Air Port.

the colors are not accurate nor saturated. My trees look pink! I suspect this might be due to the imaging detector having IR sensitivity, but it is inconsequential for a security camera. I'm not taking pretty pictures!

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one
