3 out of 5 eggsits only 1Ghz

Pros: decent cheap tablet good for 3d apps

Cons: This is only 1 Ghz not 1.5 Ghz it crawl when you install an app also after a boot or a warm start up it take some time for it to be responsive

Other Thoughts: should have gotten a tegra or atom based tablet with 2 GB ram

3 out of 5 eggsLow tier, but functional.

Pros: -Cheap
-Decent image quality for given resolution
-Has hdmi port

Cons: -No bluetooth (though that's already listed in the specs)
-System lags... a LOT
-Will occasionally lock up when coming out of stand-by
-Randomly reboots
-Apps force close frequently
-Responsiveness slows down to a crawl when an app is updating
-Plugging in/unplugging headphones will sometimes turn the tablet off
-The digitizer isn't properly calibrated to the screen
-Very short battery life

Other Thoughts: I bought this on a whim to replace an older Droid phone that I've been using as a make-shift tablet for a while (not connected to cell service). I was excited to find a quad core, and for so cheap. I wasn't expecting it to fly. But, being newer and theoretically more powerful than my old phone, I thought it would be a nice upgrade. Well, within the two weeks I've had it, it froze up or crashed more times than I could keep track of. My 3-4 year old Droid 2, is faster and more responsive than this tablet. Even after trying optimization apps and updating the firmware through the manufacturer's site. Also, the screen alignment is offset. The icons on the screen differ from where you actually have to touch to select them. I often have to touch either above or below the targeted spot by as much as 1/4 inch. Which doesn't sound like a lot. But, when you're on a webpage with a list of hotlinks, that can lead to a lot of backtracking to try and "click" the right one. It is good as an e-reader and for watching videos (when I can get headphones plugged in without it shutting off from whatever trigger is in the jack). But, aside from that, it's just a headache to deal with.

If you want something cheap, and don't mind lag, go for it. But, if you're looking for something peppy that you can use without any hassle, spend the extra cash and get a more reputable brand/model.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Beater/Commuter

Pros: - Good beater. I have a total of two hours commute in and out of NYC each day with a seat about half the time. This is easy enough to carry one handed.
- Natively supports a lot of media formats, though one of the first thing I did was install MX Player for my video needs.
- TN panel works good enough, and brightness is adequate when train is underground, or on a cloudy day. Mediocre viewing angle is a good thing in this case because it limits what the person sitting/standing next to me can see.
- Expandable storage. My anime and movie collection is comfortably residing in my 32gb micro sd card. It has the option to connect a USB memory stick via OTG cable, but haven't tried it yet.
- 3G over USB. Haven't tried this either, but if it works, great.

Cons: - Cheap. It works well for the price, but don't expect Nexus quality.
- Even though it supports e-books, the TN panel's viewing angle is optimized for landscape use. This means reading in portrait is not that great.
- The screen resolution is subpar. The description needs to be reworded. 1024 x 600 is not HD.
- Battery life is acceptable, but it's not that comparable to brand name manufactures.

Other Thoughts: I wasn't expecting much from this device, but it's working out pretty well. This is a decent tablet I don't mind taking on the train with me everyday, and if it gets stolen, I'll try to remember to shed half a tear.
