3 out of 5 eggsWarning USB 3.0 Ports don't work with this

Pros: Works pretty well once you get it setup. It requires some configuring as stated from the other reviews. Syncing is pretty simple as well.

Cons: First time I plugged it in it gave me a device error so I try to configure through the device manager and use the driver on the disc. I tried to install with the disc with the setup application beforehand, but was not able to run it, seems it might not be compatible with Windows 8, so instead, I tried to use the device manager to install the device driver directly inside the driver folder. It would not work, gave me an error. Tried to use official Microsoft xbox360 wireless receiver driver, but still ran into the same problem. After researching it for an hour, I found that there is an issue with using the device with USB 3.0, so I plugged it into the few USB 2.0 ports I had in the back and went through the previous steps and worked without an issues.

Other Thoughts: The device is great once you can get over the tedious driver issue.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Hesitant Purchase Yet!

Pros: It works as I hoped. The installation was very simple and completed on the first try. It is weighty and solid for its size so it won't be pulled off the desk by its own USB cable. Lastly, a certain super-corporation does not benefit from this.

Cons: Nope. Still going strong.

Other Thoughts: I'm not exactly a console gamer as most of my gaming is done on the PC where mouse and keyboard are ultimately superior for full control. I let my XBLIVE subscription lapse because I was SICK of seeing ads on a service that I paid monthly for. However CERTAIN PC games are just designed by the devs to use a gamepad. Specifically for the blasted 360 controller. Finally caving in, I decided to get this little guy for those instances. If your intent is to buy a 360 controller receiver which is priced as it should be, this is it. Do not waste your money on overpriced hype from evil corporations! Darn the man!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Haven't had a single issue with it.

Cons: You have to manually set up the driver. Granted it takes an entire minute.

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 install:

Plug in your wireless receiver if you have yet to do so. The driver installation is a little deep within several of Windows’ layers, so follow this guide carefully. This is assuming you’re running Windows 7 X64, but Windows Vista should have very similar menu structures.

1.Go to your Control Panel

2.Click on Hardware and Sound

3.Click on Device Manager under Devices and Printers

4.Scroll down the list to Other devices

5.Double-click the Unknown device

6.Click on the Hardware tab

7.Click on Update Driver

8.Select Browse my computer for driver software

9.Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer

10.Scroll down and select Microsoft Common Controller for Windows Class and click on Next

11.Select Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows and click on Next

12.When the warning message appears, select Yes

Found these steps while searching. Takes less than a minute to get your receiver working. :D

5 out of 5 eggs360 controller PC gaming

Pros: Long reach from controller to receiver.
Fast connection establishment.

Cons: Windows doesn't immediately recognize the device without some "footwork."

Other Thoughts: This seller did an awesome job of detailing how to quickly have your receiver set up to pick up your controller and have windows recognize it for use. Would recommend purchasing from this seller.
