4 out of 5 eggsSlow, but perfect for a head unit!

Pros: Size, price, capacity.
I needed something I could plug into my car's stereo without breaking it off my accident, and this little thing was perfect. It's barely noticeable and almost looks like a button when plugged in. The storage capacity is also great, more than enough for my driving music.

Cons: Transfer speeds can be painfully slow!!!! I remember waiting for over half an hour for about 4GB, so moving large files around on it isn't a good idea. Otherwise, I'd give it all 5 eggs.

Other Thoughts: If they bumped the speed, I'd get another.

1 out of 5 eggsLittle Bitty USB drive

Pros: Not any IMHO.

Cons: It's very small and very slow on read/write. This is a very cheap drive must be the slowest memory ever in these things.

Other Thoughts: These are the slowest USB drives I have ever came accross. The lanyard is a big project to attach to the small drive. This is the first one egg rating I have ever given to a purchase from newegg and I can't recommend this drive to anyone. OH did I mention how slow these drives are.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for video and music

Pros: 1 - small size
2 - no flashing indicator lights
3 - lanyard loop

Cons: 1 - average speed

Other Thoughts: I specifically bought this because I wanted a mini USB drive to carry around movie and music files. I have different devices that I can play media on. So far I've used this with a Blu Ray player, laptop PC and car stereo and it worked perfectly. None of my units had a problem reading files on this USB drive. I like the fact that it is all black w/o any indicator lights. This is good to leave plugged into your Blu Ray/DVD player without an distracting flashing light. It's so small that I don't have to worry about accidentally knocking against it when I leave it plugged in.

2 out of 5 eggsSegoN 8GB Mini-Ding USE

Pros: big capacity in a small package

Cons: lasted only 6 months

Other Thoughts: Bought this to store music files and play on my car receiver. Receiver has a front USB, that's where this mini-ding goes into. Worked great. It gets warm after use. I noticed this when I unplugged it from the receiver after 35 minutes of use.
I set the receiver to play random songs and not sure if that caussed the failure. One day on my way home after 5 minutes of use, all of a sudden, the receiver display said "reading files". So I waited, and waited. I decided to switch to FM station, unplug the USB, plug it back in and it said "no files". Got home, plugged it to computer and was not able to open the folder although the computer recognized there is a device plugged in.
Not gonna buy another as I'm using a regular-sized USB for now.

3 out of 5 eggsMini drive for bootable Linux

Pros: I ordered this USB drive for installing Linux. I found that when I used YUMI installer it didnt work first time. I had to download a windows utility to reformat it (using Pauly's BOOTICE Tool) as USB HDD before installing YUMI again. This time it worked. Speeds are average but the size was important as it is like nano adapter and can be kept plugged without much problem.

Cons: Slow speed, need to reformat it before using it as bootable drive for Linux.
