3 out of 5 eggsMeh, fun for a couple hours

Pros: Daughter and the cat had fun playing with it for awhile.

Cons: Cheap. Busted a couple little pieces just (incl the tiny power switch) putting it together. It still worked, but power stayed on continuously. It's cheap and easily breakable. Triple-tape everything with scotch tape.

Other Thoughts: Glad I didn't pay $50 for it at ToysRUs!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to assemble. Fun to fly

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: We were hoping to race the clown fish against the shark but they are on the same frequency. Both controllers control both fish. It is very restful watching the large fish floating by.

2 out of 5 eggsNo gas

Pros: None

Cons: Did not include any gas. Since helium is not explosive or flammable I would have thought they would include enough gas to fill it.

Other Thoughts: I threw it away. Cost more to return than it is worth.

1 out of 5 eggsDid Not Work

Pros: Got it on sale. Did not waste as much money as I could have.

Cons: Did not work. $27 for the fish, $25 for Helium and the RC unit did not function at all. Installed fresh batteries (lights came on) but no motor function at all. Checked and re-check assembly and still would not work at all. The kids still played with the giant balloon, but I would have to say it wasn't worth the money or the trouble of assembly.

1 out of 5 eggsVery disappointed!

Pros: the video looks neat

Cons: Needs helium to work. Fiddly to set up - the sticky pads are a pain. After spending $20 for a tank of helium, and over half an hour assembling the bits with double sided sticky tape, the electronics don't work - the red light is on in the "pod", and the light on the remote flashes when I press the levers, but nothing moves. So I'm out $45 for a clown-fish balloon :-(

1 out of 5 eggsCheaply built

Pros: The idea is great. Looks neat and the kids love it.

Cons: The parts do not stick to the body of the balloon at all with the tape they provide. The parts fall off within a few hours. I had to retape all the parts with heavy duty packaging tape. The controller does not get reception over 5 ft away. I literally have to walk right next to the motorized device/antenna. The tail will jerk and not function if you aren't close enough. The on/off button does not work. There must be a contact problem with the switch and the DC voltage from the battery. Not worth my time to to repair. I have to take the battery out to turn the unit off.

Other Thoughts: $5 for the helium fill, which is expensive if you want to have the unit fully functioning year round.

2 out of 5 eggsFloating Junk

Pros: None I can think of

Cons: Too many to mention .
the sticky pads don't stick very well , the instructions leave a lot to be desired . trying to balance it is a challenge.
affected by room temp ,one time on the celling next on the floor .
worst 25.00 I've spent This year !thank The Lord my grand son really didn't like it ,so i put it on the enclosed porch

4 out of 5 eggsNeat idea and fun to play with

Pros: Unique design makes movements kinda look realistic
Uses standard AAA batteries unlike most helium fliers

Cons: This thing is huge and takes about $15 of helium each time you use it since the actual helium escapes the liner membrane but the oxygen and nitrogen stay in so you have to fully deflate it every 2 or 3 fills and refill it again.
ADHESIVES ARE PATHETIC. The parts that are supposed to stick to the body fall off within hours and don't stay when you put them back on.

Other Thoughts: Maybe a little super glue will hold the motorized parts on better, on the other hand, it might melt the body like some solvents on plastic.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat for 'adults'

Pros: I'm a 31 y/o grad student who lives with other grad students and likes to be geeky and party. If this fits your demographic BUY THIS FISH! It is amazing! It turned our living room into a freaking aquarium. I did not believe that this thing would actually work as advertised but after adjusting the weight with the included clay it hovered at eye level and was controllable in 3 dimensions. Better than advertised, as far as I'm concerned.

Cons: It is big, be aware.
Now for the sad story: having so much fun with it inside, where it perfectly neutrally buoyant I felt comfortable taking it outside, where it was a good 20 degrees F colder. So I 'swam' it out the door... guess there's something about the density of air I didn't quite grasp because it took off. I ran after it for about a mile (the neighbors were very amused, I was like a one-man Macy's Day parade). No dice, she was the fish who got away.

Other Thoughts: Totally buying 10 of these for burning man.
