- The 39’ coaxial cable included in the package may be too short for some families; please get a longer coaxial cable or F plug coupler elsewhere to extend the cable length. However, please remember to get premium coaxial cable in order to ensure better signal reception;
- BEWARE: DO NOT 39’ coaxial cable to either of the TV outputs on the power supply to avoid the risk of short circuit;
- Power supply/control box should be kept 3 feet distance away from the TV to avoid signal interference. Switch it off when you do not use it;
- For better signal reception, please install TT-OA01 as high as possible, preferably with no high buildings around it. Different Terrain may lead to different signal reception.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk!

Pros: None except small size.

Cons: These are cheaply made of plastic, the motor drive didn't work and it doesn't pick up any signal indoors. It works fairly well outside but I wouldn't recommend putting it outside due to the cheap plastic construction. I don't think it's waterproof either.

Other Thoughts: Get a rabbit ears at the Dollar store and it will be better than this!

Cons: Rotating Motor Rotor DEAD out of box!

Other Thoughts: Sounded good, good price, but without tech support, I can't fix the problem!

1 out of 5 eggsWhy Didn't I Check Reviews???

Pros: Does get local stations for a small size

Cons: not worth the money, rotator control didn't work half the time and was fried in 2 days

Other Thoughts: After going up on the roof 20 times trying to make it work, I just took it down, put up a traditional unit, which was less than half the price, and it works AWESOME!! I live in Milwaukee, 80 miles from Chicago and get 6 stations from there as well as all the local stations.

1 out of 5 eggsfor most users ... a waste of money

Pros: No one with even average electronic skills should have any problem putting this device together. HD frequency sensitivity is good.

Cons: The plastic coupling at the bottom of the antenna is easily damaged when trying to join a section of mast to it, and the thumb screws which hold it in place can be easily over tighten (also causing it to crack). It is impossible to position this antenna if you can't see it when rotating it. There is no indicator on the control box to define its rotational position. Also ... when pushing the buttons to rotate the unit, it is random which way it turns (like the turntable in a microwave oven), sometimes turning clockwise, other times counterclockwise. Because of this, it is very frustrating to fine tune even when you can see it, because it may turn the opposite way you are expecting it to turn. You can't even use the zero/360 degree position to use as a starting point for positioning because the unit does not stop when it gets there, it just reverses and starts back the other way.

Other Thoughts: With a great deal of luck you might be able to use the rotor to position on one broadcast tower's position, but any hope of using it for more than one position is not going to work unless the broadcast signal is very strong (and therefore alleviating the need to be very precise).
The rotor on this thing gives disfunctional a whole new meaning. The only way I can recommend this item to anyone is if you have a non-disfunctional rotor that you could use to mount this one on. In that case you might actually have a reasonably usable setup.

4 out of 5 eggsTT-OA01

Pros: Really clear reception through very hilly terrain.

Cons: No indoor direction indicator.

Other Thoughts: Item works as described, but don't expect miracles. I suppose the 100 mile range might apply to totally flat territory, I'm in a deep valley and am able to receive signals from about 35 or 40 miles away which I find impressive given the hilly terrain of West Virginia. I really think Taotronics should include a directional indicator of some sort on the set-top box, so I could have some idea where I have the antenna aimed without having to go out to look or setting the system in a place viewable from a window. For the price I paid, I am quite satisfied with this item.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive Antenna

Pros: Incredible signal. It picked up far more channels (a couple of dozen) than I expected. The picture is fantastic.

Cons: It looks cheaply made. The plastic housing of the antenna just looks like it is cheap. But, so far is has held up.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a back up for my Dad's satellite, which goes out at the hint of bad weather. This antenna has a better quality picture than that other thing does. I was stunned by it.
I tried it indoors and got no signal at all. Mount it correctly, and it will serve you well.

2 out of 5 eggsnot worth buying

Pros: looks high-tech from a distance

Cons: motor didnt operate properly out of the box, doesnt seem to pick up vhf (?) signals

Other Thoughts: The unit would only rotate about 150 degrees. I contacted the seller and they said maybe it was jammed and to just try moving it by hand to free the jam. Instead I opened the motor and found the wire was getting wedged when the rotor caught it. I moved the wire out of the way and it now rotates properly. I have 1 channel that I believe broadcasts in VHF and I get no signal from it, the other stations are only slightly stronger than the $15 rabbit ears and hoop antenna that I was using.

1 out of 5 eggsnot very good

Pros: Lightweight and easy to install

Cons: Set up device prior to installation. rotor worked as described. After installation the rotor no loger worked unless you are 6 inches from the receiver. Contacted company and no help. Reception was not improved and some channels were worse. Would not advise purchase.

3 out of 5 eggsA good value

Pros: A lot of stuff for the money. The amp, cables, rotor, remote control, and of course the antenna.

Cons: The antenna itself is just okay. I really bought this for the rotor, amp, and remote control. The rotor would be a lot more useful if there was an indication of position of the antenna.
