5 out of 5 eggsSeems like well-made product

Pros: Small
Light
Solid
Nice design
Decent capacity
Flashlight
2 cables
Lots of plugs
A/C adapter included

Cons: Instructions confusing and wrong (but not hard to figure out as this isn't a very complicated device).

Other Thoughts: When I got this unit, I first fully charged it, which takes several hours plugged into an A/C adapter (it came partly charged but I always like to fully charge new devices before using them). I then chargd my nearly fully discharged cell phone, used a standard MicroUSB cable, its USB end plugged into the charger and its MicroUSB end into the phone. After several hours, it was fully charged, and the charger still had 3 of 4 lights on, so I used it to charge my Zune, and after it was fully charged, these were still 2-3 lights on.

Nice.

However, the instructions are wrong about how to use this device. For one thing double-pressing the single button does nothing but toggle the device on and off--and even then, not quite.

But instead of correcting the instructions, here's how the unit I received works (perhaps earlier versions of it did work as the instructions indicated and they changed the design a bit):

To charge it, plug a microUSB cable into the microUSB jack on the side. It should take several hours, faster with an A/C adapter (which came with my unit but apparently not with everyone's), slower connected to a USB jack on a computer. When it's done, all 4 of its light flash on and off slowly.

To use it, simply connect whatever device you need to charge to its top USB jack, using either one of the supplied cables and suitable plugs, or the USB cable you normally use to charge your device. Wait a while, and it should be charged. There's no need to push its single button. The unit supplies power automatically. While charging, it displays how much charge is left in it.

When not charging anything, you can check how much charge it has left by pressing its button once. Press again to turn off.

To turn on its LED flashlight, press and hold the button for several seconds. Repeat to turn off.

Double-pressing the button doesn't seem to do anything but cycle through a charge remaining check.

Also, a weird quirk I came across. I plugged in one of those gooseneck laptop LED lights, and pressing the button turned it on and off. But pressing the button didn't have any effect when charging my phone, which continued to charge. Obviously it behaves differently depending on how big a power draw you put on it. Not sure what this might mean in everyday real-world use.

Basically, it does what it says it does, and appears to do it well. Only time will tell if it holds up in terms of build quality and repeat charges.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Device

Pros: I needed a decent backup on the go charger to keep my cell phone, Ipod touch and Ipad charged. For weeks I looked and looked. So many to choose from. I ended up going with this unit based on some of the review posted here on Newegg. Well needless to say I am glad I went with this brand and manf..
Charges my Droid RAZR M and Ipad almost as fast as the stock wall charger does. Great for on the go use..
Cant complain!

Cons: None yet.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Battery Backup

Pros: This is a cheap way to extend the life of any USB compatible device. It works great for tablets, phones, and even GPS. Nice design, lots of capacity, lots of attachments.

Cons: You can't turn off the power light when it is running. That''s not really a big deal, but the reason why I took off an egg was that the battery will not allow you to run very small loads. It will shut off unless you have at least a small curent load applied. This is not always desireable, especially if the device you are using has a charge circuit that shuts down or drops low when its battery is full.

Other Thoughts: Great value, good design.

5 out of 5 eggsRAV Power

Pros: Small, nice case, all the tips you need.

Cons: Case/bag is a little small for it and the wall charger.

Other Thoughts: So far it's great and works as intended. Came with 50% charge already on it.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: This Ravpower battery was the best price-size ratio out of any similar ones I cold find on the net. This was on sale for $22 and at the price was the largest cheapest one available on the market.
I tested the capacity on this device with a Motorola RAZR, it has a 2200mah battery. I ran the battery 100% dead before charging with Ravpower and I was able to get two solid charges before the battery had run dry.

I've read some minor annoyances about case quality but so far it has appeared to be more durable then I would've assumed. I keep the charger in the back pocket of tight carhart jeans and even with my hard rear sitting on top of it on hard floors it has come through free of any stress fractures, bends or breaks. Impressive.

Cons: 1 amp output for your devices means if you're running on a tablet or sophisticated smart phone and the phone/tablet runs out of batteries and you try to use this to charge and play games, it probably won't happen.
Ravpower has a slightly newer model that comes with a 2 amp port and only costs slightly more.

Other Thoughts: With the higher demand in capacity and power output on devices I would probably wait for the 2 amp version to go on a similar sale to this one if I needed to buy another one. Though this was 100% worth the $22 spent on it, if the 2 amp version was only $4 more I would have purchased and enjoyed that one instead. This is certainly worth the price paid.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well except LED light

Pros: Charges my HTC One S about 2-3 full cycles.
Small and compact, very portable

Cons: LED light does not work, a shame because I was looking forward to having a handy long lasting flashlight.

Other Thoughts: I charge this device with a solar panel, so all of my USB powered devices run on the sun with this!

3 out of 5 eggsGood For A While

Pros: I bought two of these units several months apart. The first one worked great and even charged my ipad pretty quickly. I used it on my iphone while at an amusement park to watch movies while in line.

I probably cycled it 12-20 times and then it died.

Before this happened, I was relentlessly contacted by the manufacturer to give a review right away. I've never been hounded for a review so often and so quickly by a company.

The second one came to me through Newegg's Marketplace and arrived with much dust and looked used to me, or like it had not been wiped down before it had left the factory. I was not willing to take a chance on it after what happened to the first one.

Cons: Died after 12-20 uses.

Other Thoughts: Great while it works, but all of these seem to have problems, so buy the brand with the best warranty and customer service.
