Pros: This camera i ideal for fixed surveillance such as an entry door or vehicle gate or community pool. It has the ability to record on a hard drive using motion sensors

Cons: Previous stated: The camera connections mut be protected from the weather.

Pros: Sharp Pictures, works well at night as long as there is some light source. Fairly detailed instructions for wired and wireless modes.

Cons: Camera is no really designed for outside. The power and ethernet connections along with the reset button must be protected frm the weather

Other Thoughts: Good product for the price.

Pros: remote capability.

Cons: waterproofing for exterior use is a job. Unit may be for exterior use, but the connectors on the back are not protected from weather. Poor design.

Pros: Cheap.
Easy to setup.

Cons: Power supply for units are not out door rated.
Mounts for cameras make it hard to mount cameras in some angled positions.

Pros: Price, build quality. wifi and wired connection. Easy setup using web gui.

Cons: power adapter came with short cord, need a Power over Ethernet PoE Passive Adapter to mount this camera anywhere.

Other Thoughts: I haven't installed the software came with the camera, instead i plug the camera to my router and open chrome browser and point the ip address of the camera and i was able to view the image. Web based gui easy to configure for wired wirless settings. The manual is very good explaining all the configuration, including ddns settings opening ports in the router to access the router from outside of home network.

Pros: Not completely DOA

Cons: This is a rebranded product by HooToo and they lack the technical understanding regarding firmware to make the units work. I requested an RMA three days ago and no response. This company is a joke and Newegg should remove them as a vendor. After my order and before it shipped, they sent me this notice asking them to reveiw them kindly, they are new. They certainly are new: bad products and bad customer service.

Other Thoughts: Full of excuses

Pros: getting better... using freeware software helped!

Cons: Size of connector issue remains

Pros: Earlier review stated i was having problems with IE camera use... don't use 64-bit IE. Works with 32-bit internet explorer.

Cons: Previous design "Cons" remain.

Pros: Construction seems sturdy, able to set up easily with Firefox andSafari (on ipad3). Video quality with outdoor installation is acceptable but not very sharp. The included software will find and address the camera quickly. A simple design flaw kills the rating...

Cons: Several: 1) in order to use the IE software (which is much more functionsl) you basically have to disable your firewall and enable ALL activeX stuff to have uncontrolled access to your network... for a security camera? Why? ...Ridiculous.
2) the wired connector has a cat5 connector housing that is over 1 inch wide. So you need to make a hole larger than 1 inch in a wall to get through - and only a 1/4 inch wire. Needs a redesign with a quick-connect so the customer can make a hole the width of the wire not the connection terminal.
3) a wide angle lens ???

Other Thoughts: for a camera that is "weather proof" ... we'll see... requiring a humongus hole to be drilled for a small wire to pass thru is a frank design flaw.

If you plan to use this outside and pass the connections through a wall... BEWARE.

Pros: -Easy and quick to setup
-Mobile app to view anywhere with instructions for opening a firewall port to do it
-Great picture during the day and night
-No software to install, everything is run through browser

Cons: -A lot of cord to have to conceal inside of a wall. Would have liked it to be detachable from the rear of the camera.

Other Thoughts: -Overall great product with really no downsides. The 1 con was only for my situation and not the overall product.
