4 out of 5 eggsGreat for daily cleaning

Pros: Can easily be programmed to run on a schedule. Cleans better than I expected. Gets under beds and dressers where we normally wouldn't get to everyday! Great for pets and hardwood floors.

Cons: Noisier than expected. Doesn't always find its way home and sometimes gets stuck trying to eat a barbie or and doll with long hair.

Other Thoughts: I schedule it to run when I'm at work so the noise won't bother me. And I guess it is a vacuum so its supposed to be noisy. I've had it for about 2 years now and its still going strong. It doesn't get everywhere inch of floor on a single day but I run it 5 days a week so it does a good job. I have a cat so under beds can get hairy but since I've had the Roomba, no more cat tumbleweeds blowing around. You still need to vacuum steps and high traffic rugs to deep clean, just not as often.

5 out of 5 eggsRoomba 560

Pros: Cleans under the bed... honestly when do most of us do that. It always seems to find something. Automatic schedule does it any time you want. Easier to empty than my upright bag-less vacuum.

Cons: Just like every vacuum I have owned you have to empty it when it gets full. It refuses to do the stairs, I understand I hate doing them too. :^(

Other Thoughts: I gets excited when it finds dirt (has a blue dirt light) then circles around to make sure it's clean. $$$ yes I do wish it was free but I still LOVE it.

3 out of 5 eggsROOMBA

Pros: Easy to use.
Does not cause damage to furniture or walls.
Noise does not freak out pets.

Cons: Not quite autonomous. You have to frequently clean the brushes if you have pets.

Other Thoughts: If you don't have pets, this is a no brainer.
It cleans your house for you, and it does a good job of it too.

4 out of 5 eggsWorth its weight in gold...

Pros: It actually works...really well. I was stunned. Bought it as a novelty item, and ended up getting a real vacuum cleaner that does the job for you.

Totally recommend this to anyone interested.

Cons: -Had to return the first one. Defective.

-If you have multiple rooms, doesnt always find the home base before battery runs out. But it usually does...probably 85% of the time. I bought a second home base, and put it on the opposite side of the house. Dont have to think about it now.

Other Thoughts: Gave it a 4 egg for the defective. Always a hassle to return stuff...though Newegg is the best at it if you do have to.

Wish they would have used a radio signal or something to find its way back to the home base...instead of infrared.

1 out of 5 eggsMine arrived dead out of the box

Pros: Worked for about one hour. Been on the charger every since. Irobot service is the worst! I finally got them to send me out a new battery. They said it will be here in 10-15 days. I hope this repairs the issues I have or else I will be returning this robot back to newegg.

The robot seems to be very well built and hope it last me a long time after the battery is installed. I bought the two year extended warranty for $19.99 and would recommend everyone do that.

Cons: Irobot service is the worst! I finally got them to send me out a new battery. They said it will be here in 10-15 days. I hope this repairs the issues I have or else I will be returning this robot back to newegg.

Other Thoughts: Recertified robots should not be sent with three year old bad batteries in them. American made and does not work right out of the box. Go figure!!!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Vacuum

Pros: Counter rotating brushes, programmable schedule, invisable walls, stair sensor, corner brush.

Cons: Requires weekly maintance to keep running...but its simple and doesnt take long. Also the dirt bin is small and needs emptied every couple days.

Other Thoughts: Here is the cool part. I vacuumed with a new Hoover that just stopped in the middle of vacuuming. Purchased the Roomba and its first time out picked up dirt that the Hoover never did. I was a little disturbing to know that the Hoover was leaving that much dirt behind.

4 out of 5 eggsConfused?

Pros: Purchased this today, own older model.

Cons: Misleading! What exactly comes with this purchase?

Is it:

1 x iRobot Roomba 560
1 x Self-charging Home Base
1 x Power Supply (3 hour charge time)
1 x Brush Cleaning Tool
1 x Rechargeable Battery
1 x Extra Filter

Or is it B:

Roomba 560 will clean four rooms on a single charge, getting into hard to reach areas next to walls and beneath furniture. It can even avoid stairs and ledges without you telling it where they are, and adjusts from hard floors to carpets – it’s such a smart little robot! Virtual walls (2 included) can confine Roomba 560 to a pattern you select, and even select different patterns on different days!

I truly hope this comes with the 2 virtual walls, or I will be an unhappy camper.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Reliable, does a good job vacuuming, good object avoidance and navigation back to the recharging station.

Cons: Small dustbin and brushes get clogged with pet hair. Both are probably a reflection of my housekeeping skill more than a problem with the Roomba.

Other Thoughts: I bought this with low expectations as a vacuum cleaner but high expectations as a fun toy. I was right about the entertainment value but wrong that it would not be an effective vacuum cleaner - it does an awesome job.

4 out of 5 eggsQuick error fix

Pros: Saves you a bunch of time on vacuuming and does a decent job.

Cons: I have 3 roombas and two of them started giving me errors. The error message was always "open roomba's brush cage and clean brushes". I cleaned the brushes so much that they were spotless, but I kept getting the same error. I notices that one of the yellow bushings attached to the brush, showed signs of wear. So, I tried running the roomba without the yellow bushing. The roomba runs fine without the yellow bushing and does not give me any error messages.

Other Thoughts: The problem might be solved by lubing the yellow bushing, but I haven't tried it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: It cleans hardwood well and is fun to watch. Performs as it should. Very happy with newegg price and what I got for it. Considering buying a second one for upstairs

Cons: It has a problem vacuming my oriental rugs because the pattern is dark black and beige/pink. It thinks the black parts of the rug are a cliff or ledge so it thinks it is stuck at times. I need to find a way to disable that sensor or make it less sensitive.

Other Thoughts: Looked like brand new. No issues with battery like others have posted. Worth the newegg price. New is over $100 more. Amzn referb is over $50 more.
