Clamp has a wide range of customization and the "swing" functionality is simple and fluid. Otherwise, it's a lamp. Cons: The springs at the upper end of the arm are too weak to hold it at a perpendicular level. The lamp will slowly sag and bottom out at nearly 45 degrees if you don't have it at well above a 90 degree angle. It is not too hard to work with but would have preferred the full range of the arm to be functional without having to implement a work around. Other Thoughts: For the price, I can't complain. It isn't too hard to use a little creativity to get around the weak mid-range angles for the arm, however it's also not difficult for the manufacturers to use stronger springs.
