Not bad, not fantastic
This review is from: Waterproof IP67 LED Driver Transformer 100 Watt 12V Power Supply with double output
Pros: It definitely supplies the stated voltage, 12 volts to each output (thankfully not 6 volts x2 as some might expect). Well within the +/- range of half a volt (my multimeter reads it at 12.24 Volts which is perfectly acceptable). Packaged well, shipped on time. So as far as function and delivery time go, not bad. Powers my LED's well.
Cons: The one (and only) issue I've seen in testing so far is the heating. All things fair, the label clearly states that this device runs hot. And it does. After about 30-45 minutes of constant use, the temperature peaks at 180F, where the device then shuts down. At first I though this was a defect or a broken part, but after letting it cool down and then powering it up again, the same thing happened within the same time limit. Since I use my LED's for video, I find this annoying. Safe as it is, I would rather see some kind of cooling option, as right now there is none. This is why I knocked two eggs off. No warning of this interruptible safety feature. It should have been listed in the product description.
Other Thoughts: In all, not a bad power supply for the cost. I would have liked to see some kind of cooling option (an external heat sync or something), but as it stands I may need to build one myself or buy a different PSU. I won't return this one because it technically functions, so the part is good. The heat-shutoff feature is just annoying for me.
