Was taped together with strapping tape. Cut the hose's flange trying to cut the tape off. The plastic cut easier than the tape! Other Thoughts: Noisy fan on both hi & lo speeds. Somewhat to be expected as most dehumidifies tend to be noisy, especially hi-capacity ones. Refirb - did not come with any info. Had to get from website. Did you find this review helpful? Pros: Does a good job of removing humidity

Cons: Flex drain hose is really thin plastic! Was taped together with strapping tape. Cut the hose's flange trying to cut the tape off.
The plastic cut easier than the tape!

Other Thoughts: Noisy fan on both hi & lo speeds. Somewhat to be expected as most dehumidifies tend to be noisy, especially hi-capacity ones.
