1st the clip on top was moving and at 1st thought it was broken, however, that is its design to hang on something. I worry it might break down the road. A solid bar with either a cord or removable clip would be better for hicking

Pros: Improved design from the first model I bought (same output specs), adding a strobe light (SOS blinking pattern), and two lanterns (bright and dim). Also has a clip that my old one did not that allows it to be hung from a backpack, rear-view mirror, or other small device. I have mine clipped to my GPS mounting bracket and it works well.

Cons: Push-to-select button that cycles through the four different lighting functions. I would have preferred a selector switch that allows the user to choose which operation they want immediately rather than having to cycle through others to get what you want. While it will charge your mp3 players and phones, it will not FULLY charge them! This is more of an emergency use device for when you need to use an item that has depleted batteries.

Other Thoughts: The new design seems to have its ups and downs, but overall it is a great investment to anyone that needs an emergency power source to recharge their phone or mp3 devices. Also, the new model features a more rugged design that allows the charger to take more bumps and bruises that its predecessor. I like it, but it could definitely use a little more tweaking to be a five-egg product!

Cons: DEAD after one month and two weeks maybe used it once a week. That no excuse should have got at least couple years out of this.

Pros: I'm an avid outdoors men hiking fishing... I found this item awesome. I hated having to leave my phone (lumia 900) in the car charging then stop what I'm doing and go back for it. This charger keeps me going with out a hitch. I recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable light weight charger, add in the lights and its a space saver for the pack as well.

Pros: I had purchased this with the intent to use it as a portable charger for my phone while i am outdoors. It works great!
The solar charging actually works pretty well. With its two outputs you can charge via solar power or USB port and the USB cable is included. Its solar and USB inputs allow it to charge pretty much anywhere. Charge fully using the USB before solar. The solar power will charge it up to about 50-75%, however by USB it will charge 100% .
The built-in flashlight has options for a SOS strobe, or it works as a lantern that will light up a whole room with the liftable hook for hanging it on your back pack or inside a tent. its pretty cool at first click it has a beam, then SOS beam, then 10 LED lantern bright, then 10 LED lantern dim, then OFF so you can adjust it as you please.
I highly recommend.
