The PRIME R250-1 amplifier is a great mono amplifier in a compact chassis and respectable power output making it perfect for a center channel speaker in a 5.1 surround sound system. The R250-1 mono output design also makes it great for running a pair of 8" or 10" 4-ohm SVC subwoofers wired in parallel. The included Remote Punch Level Control corrects for any acoustic anomalies in the automobile environment, making certain that bass notes sound deep and rich.

bigKsoda 4/26/2012 6:36:59 AM Tech Level: 3/5 Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5Better Than Expected Pros: I purchased one of these to replace a eight year old MTX 311D to power a 6" dual 4ohm Bazooka tube. Works very well, as good as, if not a little better than the MTX. Going by the certificate that came with the amplifier it is putting out more wattage than the MTX. When using this amp and a 30Hz subsonic filter with the Bazooka tube, it is a good combination for tight spaces. The provided wired remote is good way to help fine tune the system without going back and forth from the amp to the driver's seat. Cons: The first thing that caught my eye when taking the amplifier from the box was it had "Made in China" stickers on it. Seems a little cheap for Rockford Fasgate, but the amp performs well... Hopefully will last for years to come. Another pet-peeve I had was the quality of the wired remote... Works as described but had a cheap feel to it. Like if it was used a lot it would break. Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm pleased with the amp and would recommend it to others that were looking for a small subwoofer amplifier. Did you find this review helpful? Would definitely recommend this amp/rockford! Cons: N/a Other Thoughts: Bought it for the same price for a local car audio shop, pretty cool to go deal with them when I know little about car audio.
