Pros: Cheap.

Cons: The audio quality wasn't very good, and after 2 1/2 months the left headphone died. Granted it's on the cheap side, but that is a ridiculously short time for that kind of failure.

Pros: Noise cancellation tends to be pretty good with these things. I wound up missing a couple of calls while I had them on. Audio quality is pretty good.

Cons: These were not comfortable AT ALL. I had to take breaks from having them on my head. I haven't had them for a week and the right ear crapped out on me. The noise cancellation switch tends to be a bit cumbersome when there are batteries in them. I'm a little confused as to why it's necessary in the first place.

Other Thoughts: The frills weren't enough to make up the shortfalls this item suffers from. They appear to have been far too cheaply made, particularly in light of the fact that my ear buds cost less than these headphones and still hold up better. Long story short, save your money or spring for something a bit more expensive. They're not worth the money I paid for them.

3 out of 5 eggsMaxell 19400 NC headphone review

Pros: noise cancellation works
reasonably good sound quality
comfortable to wear

Cons: not much of a noise cancellation
loud clicking when turning it OFF

Other Thoughts: I needed a a headphone so that my daughter can listen to music/watch videos in the car. This is the 3rd noise canceling headphone I bought -- the 1st was $10 AR; the 2nd (Jabra C820) was $80 from woot, and this was about $30 with S/H on sale. The 1st didn't work at all (I couldn't hear the difference), the Jabra works reasonably well; this one works just enough that the difference can be heard, but nowhere near the Jabra.

So if noise cancellation is major factor, go for a better headphone.

Since my daughter already wrecked at least 3 headphones (one was a really good one) this is all she gets time.

I didn't write it up as a con, but it would've been nice if it had a volume control.

5 out of 5 eggsBudget Headphones

Pros: Going with what Hellion said. Great crisp sound, great volume, and yeah... These babies are comfortable. About the bass, to me I think the bass is about as good as it needs to be for headphones... If the bass was anymore, thats all you'd hear (according to how you set your bass of course...) The bass has a great boost and sounds great in games. The ear cuffs does do a good job just theirselves of blocking some sound out.

Cons: Like Hellion said, they dont block too much. These being my first set of NC headphones I installed my batteries, cut the NC on (while tv was on and volume was on a bit..) and put the headphones on... I could still hear the tv... Clearly.. But after turning some noise on, couldnt hear much.

Other Thoughts: Got these at Walmart for same price... So, might would be easier incase you had techincal difficulties like you sometime will get with computer hardware.

I'm happy with these headphones.

4 out of 5 eggs4 stars

Comments: well ill start off with these are comfortable... the privious headphones ive had , mostly have been painfull after a moderate use, these are not ment for people with big ears though , they fit like a glove over my ears and i dont have big ones but there not small either..
another good thing is the sound quality... very crisp sounds.. not as much bass , and the freq range thats posted on newegg and parts of there site dont match up with what the box says ... wich is a big displeaser for me i thought i was geting some powerfull ranges but the box came and it says 20-20,000 not 10-28,0000 , but they sound good enuff too me
for the bad side they are very cheeply made , if i were to accually put enuff pressure on them with one finger i could snap the plastic, ill just not do that hopefully, and the sound cancelation doesnt block much but it does get low tones , the earcup gets most of it and more then the other set i just had... when on the sound cancelation does generate a small powerd hiss but its very faint and when music is on its not noticable ... and most ambient sounds that its blocking out would be much louder then the hiss ... overall im happy..
