5 out of 5 eggsPlug n' Play not Plug n' Pray

Pros: I've owned two of these great devices for 3 years with no problems at all. This is basically a media adapter that allows you to use your existing home coaxial cabling as a backbone network. Unlike power line adapters, MoCA adapters actually work. Best part of owning theses devices are they allow you to have multiple wireless routers in your home that use your home's coax as a dependable high-speed connection. My primary router handles my 2nd floor wireless and DHCP and routes to be cable provider. The secondary router just handles first floor wireless and wired connections for my living ,room. No problems streaming Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and Google Music with all three of my Chromecasts in my home. BluRay and media streaming from my computer to the living room works great as well. The device works as advertised. No problems with my cable TV side as well.

Cons: None. Only 270Mbps throughput, but it hasn't really made a difference that I can see. Newer version has a 1Gbps throughput, is smaller and cost more.

Other Thoughts: No need to do wireless bridging is the main reason for loving this device. The only thing better is to run Cat5e cabling and that can be expensive.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth Every Penny

Pros: Worth every penny I paid for it. Was able to completely remove all Verizon equipment from my network, but still provide internet to their set-top boxes.

Cons: None. Works great.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Works great. Surprisingly easy to set up.

Cons: Will probably need a couple of MOCA splitters and one Point of Entry filter. Not included.

Other Thoughts: I had purchased a powerline network system prior to this product with lackluster results. This is the same device used by Brighthouse Cable and Verizon to extend network & wifi throughout the home and works great.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: IT JUST WORKS. This seems pretty rare these days.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this on my network with FiOS tv and internet. This is being used as a moca to lan bridge to send the guide to my set top box, while I was able to use my own router for routing.

I didn't even really have to do anything once I had my ONT set for data/ethernet and video/coax; I just plugged this box's ethernet into my router, and put it on the coax between the ONT and the rest of the house's coax, and it just works. Zero config. Awesome.

Warning: I've read that this won't work as a moca-wan bridge, but using it as a moca-lan bridge like I am works just fine.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Works perfectly and is better than powerline adapters. Easy to install. Can stream live Hd tv and othermHDmcontent no problems.

Cons: You need at least two of these. One for your router and then one for each device you and to attach. Expensive. Newegg has no product description and the pictures are misleading. This is only for ONE adapter and not two as the misleading picture indicates. Thus a loss of an egg. I wanted 4 of these and so based on the pictures ordered two at 82.89.

Other Thoughts: This tech is better than powerline adapters in my 1938 house. The coax is much newer.
