5 out of 5 eggsWe Cut the Cable!

Pros: Easy to install. We are in a fringe area and the antenna works great. We receive 15 digital channels free of charge. Much Better HD picture and sound than we ever got with cable. Be sure to add a pre-amp if you are in the fringe area...

Cons: None so far...

5 out of 5 eggsI love it.

Pros: Winegard makes the best on the market. I got mine online and it had some damage to the antenna . Called Winegard and they gave me a great refund very fast.
I am 40 miles north of Orlando Florida . Set the antenna on a 70 ft. pole with a Winegard rotor. On a good night I can pickup Central Georgia-200 miles plus.Tampa,Florida-110 miles plus.South Florida -200 miles plus.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had to use some small stainless screws to make the antenna a bit stronger. Lots of strong winds in Florida .
Make sure to ground it .

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great, sturdy, easy setup

Pros: Great wind resistance, easy setup, just snap the tips into place, excellent reception, decent weight, ships UPS with no problems and well packed.

Cons: The downlead connector is flimsy, I used cable ties to better fasten it on. I also used dielectric grease on the internal connectors to prevent water ingress and or oxidation of the contact points.

Other Thoughts: I am using this 80 miles + from stations with a 75' cable and 24Db booster and Fm trap. It works well for reception of both UHF and VHF, obviously it works better ant night and if I had it higher I would probably get better reception, but for what I wanted it works perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsMost Power for the Money

Pros: all metal joints, doubled up mast pole clamps, massive yet light weight. this 5 year old design was specifically made for DTV/HDTV reception, so there is no need to buy this year's 7697 model. A special weather sealed plastic housing does a great job of protecting your 75ohm connection with the antenna's reception electronics.

Cons: Huge! catches lots of wind. you can trim the rear dipoles down to 54" across if you don't mind sacrificing ch2-6 Analog, and exactly match the latest 7697's reception power without spending 50% more money.
trimming it as I suggest will also help it fit in your attic. if you use a roof mast pole, you should consider buying a spool of metal picture handing wire, then tying down the top of the mast with at least one, but preferably three different points on your roof to keep the mast from oscillating too much in the wind.

Other Thoughts: I'm in a Urban Valley 10 miles from the transmission tower. I have my 7084 over 80' from my tuner, yet this high gain directional antenna picks up everything I need without the use of a amp or preamp (or attenuator for being so close). Analog VHF is crystal clear, Analog UHF is hit or miss because of Multipath, however when I use my DTV tuner, all the major channels come in over 90% signal strength and clear as a bell, since the 6th generation DTV tuner does a perfect job of resolving Multipath signal issues, that my Analog tuner never could. I probably could have done just as well with the smaller 7080 roof antenna, but the savings on needing a preamp, coupled with Newegg's lowest on the net pricing, made this quality high end Winegard model hard to resist. I just pray a major persistent wind storm does not make me look the fool. http://i31.tinypic.com/a8tp3.jpg

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Installed on attic, transmitting towers are not far, almost all transmit from the same general direction and this antenna did the job.

Cons: Antenna is too large (not a con really), will get some money back when I sell it for scrap aluminum!

Other Thoughts: Do not install in attic unless you have lots of space and do not expect to be able to ratate it. This is a big directional antenna and if transmisions comes from different directions you will not be able to receive all your area stations. I leave in Sugar Land, subarb of Houston, almost all stations transmit from near by Misouri City where the transmitting towers are located and although I should be able to receive all stations with rabit ears I had problems with channel 13. This over-kill solved the problem.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: This is a great antenna for HD. Getting it unfolded and put together took less than 10 minutes. Even though it does not come with a mounting mast or any hardware to get it attached to a building. It took less than an hour to get it on the roof.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that this does not come with a mounting mast or any hardware to get it attached to a building. Your local RS or electronics store should have everything you need. I was able to find everything for a tripod mount for under $40.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat :)

Pros: Great antenna picks up weak HDTV signals that its not supposed to be able to pickup as well as good analog reception. Its very durable, another antenna from radio shack bent in half in the harsh winds in my areas, its been a year, and the antenna is still in perfect condition.

Cons: HDTV reception doesnt working in snow or heavy rain.
