Transferring to a new high school is traumatic enough, but when you see mysterious creatures threatening the locals who lock themselves in caskets at night, you know that Gekkoukan High is not your average campus. The victims are left listless and uncaring. You are surprised to find that only a few of your fellow students can see these hauntings and you join them in the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad to fight these horrors.

Each night, you fight these monsters in an extra planar tower known as Tartarus, but you need more than the weapons at hand, you need your personas – aspects of your soul that have specific advantages in combating the Shadows. All you need to do to summon a persona is to point the pistol-like Evoker at your head… and pull the trigger.

Persona 3 FES includes an enhanced version of the original award-winning game with additional content, cutscenes, quests and events. Fight to save humanity during the hidden Dark Hour at night and attend school during the day. Your actions during the day – studying, socializing, practicing, etcetera affect your skills and abilities during your grim nocturnal struggle. Develop multiple personae and fuse them into stronger combatants. Fight alongside up to three fellow AI-controlled students to enhance your chances of success as you climb to the top of Tartarus fighting against increasingly stronger Shadows.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, unique RPG

Pros: It's a modern set rpg with many plot twists. Beautiful animated cut scenes. The interface and the character design on both the heros and enemies is sleek. The voice acting can be pretty amusing as well. The storyline is interesting and makes you want to play the game until the end.

Cons: Your character is restricted to what he can do in a day's time. So if you looking for a game which has hardly any limits, this isn't it. Then again, the game follows a calendar schedule.

The battle levels can get tedious.

The second game,The Answer, is very difficult. It basically takes out the fun stuff of "The Journey" and makes it into a dungeon crawler. You slay monsters, hope your party doesn't get slain before you save and repeat. And there is only one difficulty setting in this second game which happens to be hard. This is what kept the game from getting 5 stars(eggs).

Other Thoughts: Strangely, the Persona creature card system is like a dark version of pokemon in that you collect tarot cards which have certain powers and you have to level up to gain more skills in those creature cards. It is quite fun.

I would not let a child play this game. I think for a teenager it would be okay. There is some profanity, but it is not bad. I've seen some PG-13 movies with worse content than what is featured in this game.

Also, it does have a tarot card system and the talk of magic usage and its history by a substitute teacher. All in all, it's a very different and enjoyable game.

5 out of 5 eggsA must for any RPG fan

Pros: This game has it all. Great pacing, a great combat system, a great collectathon system, and a fun social simulator. It will hook you. The character design is the best I've seen in an RPG since Chrono Trigger. Incredible value, one long game and the expansion at a budget price.

Cons: Some would rather have direct control over party members. I personally liked the AI driven party members that could be issued strategies.

Other Thoughts: It's very, very long. This is good and bad.

If you are a JRPG fan, you must try this game.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality and Affordable

Pros: Over 80 hours of gameplay for $30. This RPG has classic battles, school and dating sims, characters you won't forget, and an epic storyline uncommon amoungst many RPGs these days. Well worth the asking price and then some.

Cons: Limited Replay value, you'll prolly only play this 3-4 times

Other Thoughts: Marvelous, simply marvelous. It'll make you a fan of the series for sure. Why don't you grab the first two while you are at it and by the time you get done the 4th will be out.

5 out of 5 eggsThank you newegg

Pros: Addons to the original Persona, which is already great! Very low price for the quality of the game.

Cons: Are you kidding?

Other Thoughts: Thank you Newegg for carrying this. no stores within 50 miles of me carry this, and it is nice that I could just come to newegg and buy it from a e-tailer I already know and trust. Not only that, but newegg has it even cheaper than the competition. Win-win!
