3 out of 5 eggsVery happy but suddenly disappointed.

Pros: Very easy to setup, very good looking, good size, easy to fit on a shelf

Cons: After about a week I started to hear a squealing/squeaking noise coming from the belt motor, and it progressively got worse as I would play music from it, it would stop if I left the turntable alone for ~30 mins, but it would start again after 10 mins of play. Extremely irritating since I loved this table. But really it could have just been the table that I got.

Other Thoughts: Very good, but flawed.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Turntable

Pros: This is a good basic turntable. It has the basics, not a lot of bells & whistles. It just works.

Cons: The tone arm does not have an adjustable weight (but for the price of the unit, this is acceptable).

Other Thoughts: Like the switch to change to line level output that is on the turntable. This lets you connect the turntable directly to the line Input on your PC.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value

Pros: After discovering my parents old vinyl collection I knew I wanted a turntable so I could rediscover all those classic tunes I loved growing up. After searching around I decided to purchase the LP-60, as it had all the features I needed for a great price. The unit plays both 12" LPs and 7" EP's at 33-1/3rpm and 45rpm respectively. The turntable has a very classic and sleek design to it and looks right at home with my other stereo equipment. The LP-60 also a a built in switchable phono amp so you can connect it to new devices via a line in input. The sound quality is fantastic (albeit I have little to compare it to).
Finally the "tonearm lift" button makes it easy to select a track that you want to hear.

Cons: The cons I have for this unit are pretty minimal.
The tonearm is non adjustable, if you need to fine tune your needle, you're out of luck. But it seems to be pretty dialed in from the factory.
The two cables coming from the back are very short, so unless you can put it close to your amp you may need an extension.
The plastic dust cover scratches very easily.

Other Thoughts: All in all the Audio-Technica LP-60 is a great buy for someone looking to bring life back to their old vinyl collection. The value for the money spent is well worth what you get. I own several AT products and I'm impressed with all of their products. The unit is basic and easy to use and meets all my needs for music listening. I swear there is magic in those old records, so purchase the LP-60 and have listen for yourself. Long live vinyl!
