5 out of 5 eggsSimple To Install

Pros: Designed to mount on antenna mast using plastic zip ties.

The power injector can be powered using the supplied AC adaptor or from a USB connector on your TV. I did not test my TV USB connector and this device.

There is nothing to adjust, fine tune, or "tweak". Just connect up the various bits of hardware and cable.

Cons: It isn't free.

It does not "work magic"; if the signal cannot be received before installation, adding this device probably will not help.

If your TV coax cable "ends" are "bigger than normal", perhaps due to a plastic jacket, they may not make full conact within the amplifier's connectors due to raised plastic "guards" around the coax terminals. I had to trim my plastic "guards" so my coax cables would make "full contact".

Other Thoughts: My order arrived in a small box that contains the amplifier, instructions, "weather boots" for TV coax cable ends, a short (maybe 3 foot) USB cable, and an AC power adapter.

My TV antenna uses a 300 ohm to 75 ohm balun so I needed a short length of TV coax cable with male ends on both ends of the cable to connect the balun to the amplifier.

In my case I am feeding 3 TV devices through an unpowered TV coax "1-to-3" splitter so I needed another "male-to-male" TV coax cable to connect the power injector for the amplifier to the splitter.

Be sure to rescan your TV channels after installation. I found new channels that I could not previously watch on TV due to low signal strength and at least 2 channels "moved".

I did not see any visible "noise", "video tearing", or "poor TV image quality" after installation of this device.

5 out of 5 eggsIf you need one, this is the one

Pros: We live just under 30 miles from TV towers in our area. We use this LNA with an Indoor/Outdoor Clearstream 2V antenna that is sitting on a table inside the house. Our distribution system has a 1-to-8 distribution amp and from 20-50 feet of RG6 cable with additional 1-to-4 distribution amps in 4 rooms. To drive this kind of an in-house network, a pre-amp was needed and this had the best specs.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Kudos to the technical rep for the antenna that we have and his suggestion use their companies Juice amp or the Winegard LNA 200. The Winegard 200 runs about $30 less and has better specs so we went with it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Signal

Pros: It's an excellent pre-amp. I live over 50 miles from the TV stations in my area and they are in three directions with some at 180 degrees from each other. I installed two high gain directional yagi style antennas in my attic and had been using only distribution amps. Some of the stations were still weak so I bought two of these pre-amps to install near the antennas to feed the distribution amps. I now get all of the stations clearly even the ones I'm receiving off the back end of one of the antennas.

Cons: none
