The 16 GB Flash Voyager features Corsair's proprietary all-rubber housing boasting unheard-of durability. In many third party reviews, the Flash Voyager has been shown laundered, baked, frozen, boiled, dropped, even run over by an SUV, and it continues to work!

4 out of 5 eggsGood drive for carrying around

Pros: Small enough to fit comfortably in my pocket, no issues with transfer speeds or files, rubberized casing has a good "feel" to it, it's pleasant to hold. The cap protecting the USB interface fits snugly, but is not difficult to remove.

It tolerates drops well, as it is evidently designed to do, which is excellent for me, as gravity never misses an opportunity to humble me.

Cons: I wish the cap had a more permanent "attachment" to the body of the drive, as I worry about losing it, or it falling off. It seems unlikely, but still...

The Key-loop is part of the rubberized body, which is nice, but the edges seem just a little thin to me. I'm worried the rubber may break down and the loop will break before too long. Time will tell.

And as always, most of my problems with flash memory has been random failure and corruption, and I haven't owned this drive quite long enough to feel completely comfortable regarding it's long term reliability. But hopefully the flash memory inside is as well made as the case.

Other Thoughts: UPDATE 2/2016: Have now owned for nearly 4 years, no problems. No bad sectors, has survived multiple accidental trips through the clothes washer, but have fortunately not had to see how it survives a clothes dryer yet. Have not lost the rubber cap yet, fortunately. Key-loop has not torn yet, but OTOH, I rarely have it on a key chain. And no lost data or even lost sectors noted. Nice little drive, so far, still recommend. (Not hitting 5 star, because I rarely think anything is 5/5 perfect, but this is close. Would rate 4.5/5 if I could.)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended and fast

Pros: Has a nice rubber feel to it. With the logo being the way it is, its easy to remember which way it goes into my PC (We all hate when we try and put it in the wrong way right?) Holds 16g easily. All of my PCs, Laptops install any drives with it just fine. Zero problems at all. Very portable

Cons: No cons at all people - Maybe add a keychain? nah you don't need that.

Other Thoughts: Nothing more to say, its reasonably priced. Could be maybe a few dollars cheaper but you are paying for Corsair and the quality of this flash drive is top notch. I paid around $13. I would buy another, BUT I want a higher storage one. 16 GB is perfect for small files and even a few movie files but I think I might buy a bigger one next. But this one is very nice a must get for 16 GB.

1 out of 5 eggs100% Failure Rate

Pros: OK, I’ll just cut to the chase.

I’ve owned about 6 or 7 of these over the years.

Each has become DOA at some point.

They reason I’ve owned so many are because Corsair was good to replace them.

But then at some point the replacements would fail.

These flash drives are flexible and I believe that is the problem.

Cons: Corsair is good to replace them under warranty.

3 out of 5 eggsNot the best

Pros: It's very durable, it'll probably last a while
It looks nice

Cons: Its writing speed is very slow even for usb 2.0
It's bulky, doesn't fit close to other used usb ports

Other Thoughts: If a bulky size and slow writing speed are no preoblems for you, this is a good option.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: These things can take a real beating with the cap on. I intentionally threw it across the room on multiple occasions and there were never any ill effects. If for any reason you need a ruggedized USB drive, this is definitely the way to go.

It lasted longer than most USB drives I have owned.

Cons: It's bulky, but any ruggedized product usually is.

Mine died after what I believe was upwards of 3 yrs of fairly consistent use, when it started experiencing data corruption. However, in my experience this is typical and completely expected of USB drives under regular use, and I have yet to own any drive that this hasn't eventually happened to. I suppose I might have been able to make a warranty claim, but I didn't think of it at the time and no longer have any idea where it is.

Other Thoughts: I'm amazed to see these are still sold - I purchased mine from Newegg back in 2008.
