5 out of 5 eggsWorks great so far!

This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25

Pros: -Does what a solid state storage device should...stores stuff

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: -This SSD works as it should however I would recommend that anyone looking for a new drive get a larger version. 128GB runs out fast.
-Also be sure you have a 2.5" slot to put this in. I didn't and had to zip tie it into place.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25

Pros: I've been running this SSD for a year and a half. Fast load times, typically one of the first few into BF4 matches. No decrease in performance or quality that i've seen since I started using it.

Cons: For what you pay, none.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat cheap upgrade for older boxes

This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25

Pros: Inexpensive price point
Reliable enough for low-to-moderate system use
Make solid upgrades for older systems that you don't want to drag off to the recycling heap yet.

Cons: Would not use them in high performance gaming/media center systems (go Samsung or Crucial for those).

Other Thoughts: We used these at work to extend the life of a fleet of older Dell laptops that didn't require huge amounts of storage or top end performance. Allowed us to push Windows 7 onto those machines (retiring XP) without crippling their aged Celeron and Pentium processors. Work just fine for booting quickly and running Windows 7 or 8.1 with Office. If you want performance, go with Samsung.

5 out of 5 eggssand disk 128 ssd

This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25

Pros: Works right as advertised. I installed my Win OS 10 and a few applications on it and a few months later I installed a few games. ssd no moving parts so its very light, you can use it as a Frisbee if you want lol jk

Cons: 128gb is small if you plan on adding you os and apps and games.
but if you just want to install your OS and apps then you'll have plenty of space.

Other Thoughts: ssd's need space so they can last long, so if you fill it then well your probably cutting its life to in half, at least thats what I've read. So when I bought it I had in mind to have at least 40-50% space left so it has space to use blocks and stuff. the only game I have installed are battlefield and csgo. I would use this ssd and a mechanical drive in my build. Using this ssd or any ssd only well your asking for problems. If your plan on doing that then 128gb would be way to small

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Value

This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25

Pros: Low Cost (Mine came free with my monitor)
Acceptable Performance

Cons: Capacity, Simply doesn't come any larger in this model than 120gb

Other Thoughts: I used this to upgrade a laptop (from a HDD), it boots much faster now, but the only issues I have with this SSD is the capacity, because personally I would have rather purchased a 240+gb model. Bot for the price, you really can't complain because my upgraded laptop (with a clean version of 8) can boot in about 15 seconds.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent little drive

This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25

Pros: -Nice drive read speeds around 470MB/s
-Low power consumption great for laptop

Cons: -Slower write speed than advertised around 300MB/s but its pretty close so will only knock 1 egg

Other Thoughts: Great buy for the price, hopefully these drives will last a good year or two before needing new ones.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade for an older computer without breaking the bank. Still not as speedy as other options out there, but definitely worth a look at.

This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25

Pros: SSD speeds, low cost, and easy installation

Cons: None really if you are aware these are not the fastest SSDs on the market today.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Worth Your Money

This review is from: SanDisk 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDP-128G-G25

Pros: Worked well for two, 3 & 1/2 month periods of time.
Used it exclusively for Windows 7 & most recently Windows 10 + The Witcher 3.

Cons: With no notice, this drive has failed twice. The first time, I got back to school (where my PC is located) after leaving it sit for a week and no operating system was detected- having worked properly before this point.
Today, I had the same problem- the operating system could no longer be found.
Troubleshot, replaced the SATA cables and power and everything to no avail. This was the only hard drive installed on the motherboard, so this was not a boot priority issue. Buying an Intel SSD instead. SanDisk support was no help, either.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

My name is Allen from SanDisk support. I am sorry to hear that your SSD failed repeatedly. We definitely do not want our customers to face any inconvenience using our products and strive to manufacture products with well built hardware and software configuration. I would suggest you to please contact SanDisk again and ask for me so I can assist you towards the best possible resolution.

Thank you,
SanDisk Support.
