1 out of 5 eggsPanasonic 3D WIFI BluRay DMP-BDT210

Pros: I can't think of any positive things about this player except that it is compact.

Cons: There are many negative things:
(1) it doesn't come with any cables
(2) it is way overpriced for what it delivers
(3) you can play only ONE BLU-RAY or DVD at a time
(4) the player CONSTANTLY locks up
(5) the player is not very responsive to remote controls
Bottom Line: DON'T BUY IT!

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is slick!

Pros: Slim design, does well with the "older" DVDs too! Menus are set up well.

Cons: Was a little fickle trying to get it to connect to my network, but that is because my routers fault.

3 out of 5 eggsNetwork sharing bad

Pros: Feature rich for the price. Netflix excellent. USB port in front convenient. One of the fastest to load.

Cons: Don't buy this unit if you expect to play video files off your shared drive or NAS. They will not play. Photos work just fine though. The same files can br played on the USB port but not on the shared/NAS drive. Very disappointing. Many others have the same issue.

Other Thoughts: Netflix is flawless for me. I have 25Mb down and 5Mb up. It is hard wired into my Netgear WNR4500 1Gb router. Try the Remote 2011 iPad app to remote control it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product but WARNING!

Pros: Easy to set up, works great with my TV, plays movies & TV shows from Netflix, etc using remote controls

Cons: Only that it will lose the ability to play Netflix - a very common occurrence as I found out after I did some research on the Internet. Also it is a delicate piece of electronics.

Other Thoughts: Just want to pass this on to anyone experiencing issues play Netflix. If the unit was playing Netflix videos fine and then suddenly starts giving the message that Netflix is unable to play the video at this time then please be aware that a factory reset probably needs to be done. See pg 34 of the manual. It followed the instructions and it worked. Yes you will have to reset up the unit from scratch but it was worth getting Netflix to download again. I have worked with quite a few set top boxes and this has been the answer when they start doing odd things. The reset on the menu will not work; you must do a factory reset by pressing a sequence of buttons on the remote. Again see pg 34 of the user's manual.

4 out of 5 eggsTerrific Player In Most Circumstances

Pros: Fast loading, great image quality, excellent sound.

Cons: The compatibility list for file playback is dreadfully limited.

Other Thoughts: I have had no real issues with this player. It performs as advertised. I have had none of the Netflix issues that some reviewers here have commented about. The only thing I wish it did is to be compatible with more file formats. I like to stream content from my PC and many of the file formats I have simply will not play on this player. Not a huge issue that would cause me to not recommend this player as my trusty PS3 fat takes care of those other issues.

The iPhone app that duplicates the remote has come in handy a couple of times.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't even think about it

Pros: It does Play BD's well and has good sound. Slim profile. Wifi built in.

Cons: If you intend to stream for Netflix this is not the player for you. Do to an apparent Firmware problem. Here is a live chat I had with Panasonic.

Jeff: I have purchase aDMP-BDT210 for the purpose of streaming Netflix. I am getting a black blinking screen 15 to 20 times an hour. I did research on the internet to find many users are having the same issue it sound like a firmware issue to me. Please advise.
Kurt S.: We're still trying to fix this issue as we speak, we apologize for the inconvenience
Jeff: Any idea as to when? From what I read on the net Panasonic has working on this issue for some time now.
Kurt S.: I'm not sure when it will be resolved, we don't have an estimate time
Jeff: Is this a firmware issue or a hardware issue?
Kurt S.: Seems to be firmware

1 out of 5 eggsNetflix Black Flash

Pros: Blue ray is great.

Cons: Netflix blinks a Black Flash while attempting to watch - cannot believe that Panasonic / Netflix has known of this problem since 2010 and STILL have not come up with a fix. I am returning the unit and will probably not consider any Panasonic unit in the future.

Other Thoughts: Buyer Beware......

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Player

Pros: this player is great! the setup was easy as well as the firmware update. it has a nice interface that is easy to navigate. and the remote is not overly complicated and has a fast response time when used. I got mine on sale for 139.99 which was 10 dollars less then the 110 model.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: The player comes with a coupon for a Avatar 3D Blue Ray disk. Whch is selling on the secondary market for around 75.00
