This Ultimate Power Station serves as a complete powerhouse stand for your Wii gaming system. This multifaceted unit is designed to provide connections to your Wii console while helping maintain it in the long run.

The Main cradle connects to the AC, AV inputs and Sensor Bar connection on the back of the Wii console. The center slot houses a built-in fan that is aligned with the vent on the bottom of the Wii console, keeping the system cool at the flip of a switch. This charge station contains two slots to charge your Wii remotes in an upright position or two sets of rechargeable Wii Remote molded 1800 mAh batteries. Not only can you charge two Wii Remotes, but also four rechargeable AA batteries in their corresponding slots.

There are two niches to rest the Nunchuks and neatly wrap the cable around the managing slots. This Station is powered by the AC Adapter cable that comes with the Nintendo Wii. On the back of this device there are AV, Component and S-Video ports for the appropriate connection on your television. Located on the front of the base is an LED display for a digital alarm clock. While plugged in, two stripes on the stand illuminate to produce a luminous blue light, similar to the glow on the Wii console, making this system just as enjoyable to look at as it is to use.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Your Time or Money!!

Pros: Looks nice from afar;

Cons: Here's the deal. The construction and parts used in the unit is quite cheap compared to competitors at same price point.

The charger is a nice feature; HOWEVER, the unit has to stay on in order to charge the batteries. Therefore, the fan has to run constantly as there is no option to have the fan off, but leave the charger on. BAD DESIGN! The fan is noisy. I kept the 2 rechargable battieres b/c my kids needed them and through the unit in the trash.

I liked the idea of AA battery charging slot; however, the metal connections in the unit I received were bent and not aligned properly to make the necessary connection on the batteries.

3 out of 5 eggsCTA Ultimate Power station for Wii

Pros: Overall seems to be a nice unit. I like that it has a cooling fan built in.

Cons: The charging station will not accept a WII remote that has the motion plus attached. You must take the motion plus off before the remote will fit into the cradle. Also, you have to remove theprotective cover off the remote in order to charge the batteries. Partially disassemling the remotes every time I want to charge them is a bit of a hassle. I intend to return the unit.

Other Thoughts: I am new to the world of Wii and did not realize the shortfalls I mentioned before I bought the unit. I like that it is externally powered and it appears to be well built, but, for my needs, an induction system may be a better fit.

5 out of 5 eggsCTA Wii Power Station

Pros: In-expensive, fairly easy to setup. Cools Wii very well.

Cons: 40mm fan is a bit noisy when it is the only thing running in a room. No problem, simply shut off the power station/Wii.

Other Thoughts: Its 35 bucks and thats what you get. Rechargeable battery packs...too early to tell.

5 out of 5 eggsVery well mad power station

Pros: The fan on this device is awsome!!! The Wii barely heats up at all now. It charges the controllers in a timely fashion. The stand and connections work with no interuptions or static disconnect. It holds the wii firmly and solid. No complaint about that. I will be getting more rechargeable batteries. The fact that it can recharge two battery packs and four double A batteries is a nice little bonus. Or just four battery packs.

Cons: The only thing I have a problem with is that for the clock to work it needs batteries to operate. What I don't understand is why does it need batteries to work if the power station runs off of elecrticity. I can understand to keep the time when you turn off the power station but, it still won't work without the batteries even when its on. But that is a small inconvenience compared to all the gains.

Other Thoughts: Very compact product.
