It does hold my flashlight in place pretty well. Once securely in place, you can pull back on your attachment and rotate left or right for a nice offset. I believe there are 5 positions. I like to offset it to the right since I'm right-handed and hold the front stock / barrel with my left supporting hand. This leaves plenty of room between my under-barrel rail and the clip for my hand to hold the gun comfortably. Cons: Mostly hard plastic. This is not a product of extremely high quality, however, for what price I paid (and free shipping) I feel as though I received a great deal. Since it's adjustable "on the fly" I would NOT use this for something like a laser that needs to be held tightly in place for exact position. It's really best for a flashlight that can be a little off. Other Thoughts: I would by this to try and if you don't like the adjustments, upgrade to a more permanent flashlight gun mount.
