5 out of 5 eggsIs it unseemly to love a power tool?

Pros: Everything works, and the price was excellent. Good power, 1/2 bit capacity, batteries last a long time and charge quickly. While not exactly spacious, the included bag is quite useful.

Cons: The LED light doesn't actually shine directly on the worksite (where the bit meets the material) because the barrel blocks the the path. Not a big deal though

There was supposed to be a belt clip included with the kit, but that was missing.

5 out of 5 eggsfollow up on DOA battery

Pros: Contacted the seller, (CPO) they put me in touch with Dewalt, one five minute phone call and they are sending me a new battery to replace the DOA battery. Great customer service from NEWEGG & CPO, just to get to Dewalt and they were great also!!!!

Cons: DOA battery, but as mentioned above, as easy as one email & two phone calls, kind of a pain, but handled exceptionally well by all concerned parties!!!

Other Thoughts: I have bought from CPO on several occasions, this is the first issue with anything from them or Newegg. I will definitely continue to buy from them!!

1 out of 5 eggsBATTERY DOA!!

Pros: 20V LITHIUM BATTERY?

Cons: I HAVEN'T USED THE DRILL AND ALREADY ONE BATTERY WILL NOT CHARGE!! WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM NEWEGG ON A REPLACEMENT BATTERY... OTHERWISE I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER BATTERY, IT COST AS MUCH AS THE INITIAL PURCHASE~NOT TOO EXCITED AT THIS POINT

Other Thoughts: HOPEFULLY, I GET A NEW BATTERY FROM NEWEGG

4 out of 5 eggsGood drill but take note of Torque Specs with any drill

Pros: Very nice drill, handles well, the kit is clean, batteries fit tight, we LOVE the light staying on for about 10 seconds when the trigger is slightly pressed, allowing the user to align the bit or screw into position. Clutch works as previous DeWalt drills which is good.

Cons: Two things I was surprised about and I should have researched it more. The older 18 volt drill had more torque than this drill. Torque and Voltage are two different items to consider. Even though this drill has 2 more volts than my older DeWalt it has about 25% less torque experienced out in the field and the batteries do not last as long as our 6 year old 18 volt drill. Is it a deal breaker? NO, its a great drill but if someone is just getting by with their older drill I suggest you look that drills specs up and compare them with this drill, if the specs match or are higher than what you have been using your in good luck, if its less then spend a little more for the torque and forget about the voltage. This drill should do everything in the home without problems. We use ours in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration service and it performs acceptably.

Other Thoughts: Another thing is the battery will not charge if too cold or too hot. The charger waits until the battery cools down or heats up, so if you don't have a job site warm enough and no means to heat it the unit will wait until you do. Could be a sale breaker for the trades.

5 out of 5 eggsfantastic

Pros: lightweight and durable

Cons: not sure it has any

Other Thoughts: I bought this drill because I love my old Dewalt cordless and knew the advantages of the lithium-ion battery. But I was surprised at how much lighter the new drill is, with no loss of power or durability. Ad said refurbished, but I couldn't tell it from new, including the packaging

5 out of 5 eggsgreat buy

Pros: far below new price
holds charge for lengthy period
good torque
charges quickly

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: I have had several conventional battery powered hand drills; they have all been handy, but not nearly as good as this lithium drill. I can put in screws for hours on one charge, drill several holes through hedge posts , all kinds of jobs that took several batteries or charges in the past

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Drill

Pros: What you expect from Dewalt - high quality, excellent workmanship, durable, ready to go. The drill, charger and 2 batteries are refurbished but look new. The batteries quickly take a charge and hold it for quite awhile doing drilling/driving. Drill has plenty of torque and compares very favorably to my Makita, and much improved over older 12 volt Dewalt.

Cons: Soft carry bag works but doesn't protect drill/batteries/charger like molded case does. There are no pockets/straps to hold items in bag so they jostle around and have no protection from drops or being hit.

Other Thoughts: High value item at great price. Do not be put off by "refurbished" condition - these are like-new and indistinguishable from new items except by packaging (brown unlabeled box).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: I bought a DeWalt Re-manufactured 20V portable drill and it works great it even came with an extra battery. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I was not going to use that much but this works so good I use it on all my projects. The product was just as described and shipping was super fast.

Cons: na

Pros: None

Cons: Too many scratches
It says factory refurbished, looks like someone used it quite a bit and then returned it and it was sold again
