4 out of 5 eggsgreat value for decent tripod

Pros: price, construction, light, ease of use

Cons: Head is a little wobbly but for the price no complaints. Fluid head motion is decent.

Other Thoughts: I have a Canon 7D with a lot of optional stuff mounted on it, and it works great in a static environment where you are shooting at a fixed area or panning minimal. Would not use it for active video shooting. For the money I am very happy. Item was shipped fast and arrived good condition.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: This tripod is one of the best of its kind. For the price of under $100, I think it gives other more expensive tripods a run for their money. I have used this tripod for my Canon T3i with a 70-300mm lens attached for imaging the moon and it held it very well and was stable. The safety lock in the ball head prevents your camera from slipping off by accident when loosening the quick release plate. The foam on the legs provides good grip for setup and breakdown. Overall, I am very satisfied with its performance.

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsGood ball head, Bad tripod

Pros: Good ball head. I really like the fluid panning, but it can be almost too slow.

Cons: the center column of the tripod is not study unless it is at least half way down. I use a 7lb. DSLR and I am not impressed with the tripod.

Other Thoughts: I plan on putting the ball head on a different set of legs.

4 out of 5 eggsmy first trupod

Pros: Holds my Canon 70D with 18-135 lens just fine,
does what I need it to do.
Case included.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Would like to see how it would do with a heavier 70-200mm lens...

1 out of 5 eggsNo... Not quite Pro

Pros: As a professional photographer I can tell you this thing almost looks like the real deal, however...

Cons: Lighter weight and "looser" than the units they are trying to imitate. Were it not for the fact that it is a PITA to RMA I'd just send it back.

Other Thoughts: Pro? Actually not even close.

When it comes to camera equipment I know my stuff having spent the past 30 years as a professional photographer.

I bought this because I need a back up and it appeared to be of the same build quality as my other units and at the price it would have been a good deal...

Looks are deceiving.

I could have had a tripod of similar quality to this in hand for half the price.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Video Tripod

Pros: Smooth fluid head pan.
Well made ball and socket.
Sturdy and steady especially when using built in weight hook.

Cons: Not carried directly by Newegg. Comes from marketplace vendor that does not live up to Newegg standards.

Other Thoughts: I use this tripod for football game film. The fluid panhead is great. The ball head is well made as stated but does not work as well as I had hoped for this application. (Difficult to keep steady vertically.) Dolica makes standard fluid head tripods that would probably work better for this application (sports video particularly football)
