3 out of 5 eggstiny

Pros: small
light weight
cheep

Cons: low quality build. locking mechanism is sub par and doesn't stay secure.

Other Thoughts: This thing is seriously tiny. only stands like 2 inches high once all legs are deployed, only useful for a small point and shoot camera.

4 out of 5 eggsMini Tripod

Pros: Small, light weight.

Cons: Prone to misuse of people putting too large/heavy cameras on it. It wont' hold the big ones.

Other Thoughts: Stick to what it was designed for: Small, light weight point and shoot or pocket video cameras. It won't hold a large DSLR.

1 out of 5 eggsShould have read the reviews

Pros: Small and light weight

Cons: The locking mechanism is so weak it is almost useless.

Other Thoughts: Had the locking mechanism simply locked, it would be a great little tripod.

3 out of 5 eggsJust ok

Pros: Very compact. Easy setup.

Cons: Only one angle adjustment. The downside of not having a ball-type mount is only being able to adjust the angle up or down. You'll need a truly flat surface to sit this on or you'll have to do some adjusting with the legs.

Other Thoughts: For the price it's acceptable.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for a very light camera.

Pros: Very handy for stabilizing a small camera. Now you too can get in the family group shot with ease.

Cons: Doesnt hold the weight of the camera I purchased it for. A rubber band did make it usable.

Other Thoughts: You do get what you pay for. This serves its purpose for me. Would like another of this size that can hold a larger camera and be easier to adjust.

I added one egg because it is priced right.

Have now purchased a much more expensive carbon fiber tripod with ball mount.

3 out of 5 eggsFor point-and-shoot cameras ONLY

Pros: very small and could probably fit in your pocket. Handy if you don't want to carry a tripod around yet you want to set up a good shot.

Cons: anything heavier than a point and shoot camera, the locking mechanism will slip and fall. The locking mechanism seemed extremely weak and I at first thought the locked position was actually the unlocked position because it gave almost no resistance.

Other Thoughts: if the locking mechanism were stronger it would definitely support camcorders and heavier cameras.

3 out of 5 eggsDinky ... barely ok for small point-n-shoot or external flash

Pros: Low cost with instant rebate. Fast shipping.

If no alternative, could use two of them to support a DSLR + telephoto, but "cross your finders".

Cons: Very small 1/4" x 20 cork surface and few threads to attach to camera or external flash or anything else. Don't even think about a DSLR. Much, much smaller than other table-top tripods I've owned. Can barely hold a gray-card that has a tripod hole IFF there is no wind.

Other Thoughts: May return since I have the ShopRunner trial which covers RMA expense (I think).

But I only have myself to blame since if I had paid more attention to the specs, I would have realized how dinky the tripods are.
