It charges fairly quickly and does what you need a battery to do. Cons: Unfortunately, the battery does not communicate with the 5D Mark II body. This means that the status of the battery (the amount of charge left) isn't displayed, but the battery still functions as a power source. A warning screen stating that the camera can't communicate with the battery is displayed when the camera is turned on. Also, this battery hold slightly less of a charge then the original. Other Thoughts: So if you are looking for a good backup for when your battery dies, this will keep you shooting. However, if you are looking for a full replacement and want the ability to monitor the battery life, this does not do that. Did you find this review helpful?
