2 out of 5 eggsPoor discription of product

Pros: Only tested the slot for standard size SD, SDHC, SDXC cards. First time used my computer auto-installed driver but did not function. after unplugging and replugging a couple times it started working fine...

Cons: IT SAID DUAL SLOT for SD cards... Wrong!!! it has one slot for standard size and one slot for micro size!!! I needed both slots to accommodate the standard size to transfer files between chips...

Other Thoughts: A picture of the back showing the two Different slots WOULD BE NICE!!! This was not what I wanted...

1 out of 5 eggsNOT WHAT IT SAYS

Pros: It plugs into USB and will read and write data

Cons: It has no need of being listed as 3.0. It leads you to believe that it will somehow take advantage of the 3.0 capacity and be better for your class 10 cards. NOT SO!!! using the same chips in my 'freebie' Transcend card reader is 50% faster than this, and the Transcend only claims USB 2.0.

In short. This reader FAILS at being what it appears. Would love my money back! DO NOT BUY. GET A CHEAPER ONE ($2 version) AND YOU WILL GET JUST AS FAST SPEEDS

2 out of 5 eggsWould not recommend

Pros: It works, barely.

Cons: Transfer speeds are very slow, slower that our 3 other USB 2.0 card readers.

The plastic housing is very flimsy, the black dust cover pops off exposing the circuit board that is not physically supported or secured in the housing. This thing is going to fail after a few uses simply because it's physically not put together well.

Other Thoughts: Sadly, another fail. Avoid this one

1 out of 5 eggsSlower than USB 2.0

Pros: It reads and writes

Cons: I have an old USB 2.0 Transcend reader. It get's twice the throughput of this. Don't know why, but I've trying different cards and different USB ports (including my USB 3.0 port) and this Topram is getting half the speed of the old card read. to the trash this goes!

5 out of 5 eggsCan this be used with cable?

Pros: Need to know if anyone has used this with an extention cable to be able to put on top of case rather than in back where my USB3 slot is.

Cons: Seems ideal if can be extended.

Other Thoughts: Would buy if can be extended, need one.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works, and seems much faster than my USB 2.0 card reader.

Also works loads faster than connecting my Nikon D7000 to the computer with a cable to transfer files.

Cons: Absolutely nothing wrong with this thing.

Other Thoughts: I'm not entirely sure why the manufacturer decided that the USB port needed a slide-on cover. Probably would have been fine if it just stuck out all the time.

5 out of 5 eggsthing's a beauty

Pros: Man this thing flies. I like it. I use it with 128GB SD cards from camcorders. Does its job, and fast.

Cons: no issues so far.

5 out of 5 eggsworks as I expected

Pros: works fine

Cons: none noted

Other Thoughts: Not much to say, its a card reader, fairly inexpensive, and appears to transfer files quickly. I haven't done any actual speed tests to verify whether or not this reader is transferring files faster than my existing integrated (USB 2.0) multi-card reader; but it appears to be fast and works well.
