5 out of 5 eggsAmazing adapter.

Pros: Fast, fast, fast.
Comes with a bunch of accessories including clip for laptop screen mounting and USB extension and stand for desktop use.
Good for 300mbps on 2.45ghz N and 867mbps 802.11AC

Cons: 2x2 streams on N (300mbps only)
867mbps on AC (not 1300mbps) (see other thoughts)
USB 2 (limited to 480mbps max)
Drivers from Asus site would not install on Win 8 64bit (drivers on disc were good)
Wireless application was useless and unable to resize properly.

Other Thoughts: First of all the good news. This adapter is by far the fastest wifi adapter I have ever used bar none. I have recently used 5 different adapters including USB 3 wireless AC 1200 adapters by 2 competitors.
This adapter comes with a bunch of accessories that other adapters do not come with. Laptop screen clip and desktop mount.
Initially I was concerned that the interface was USB 2 which will limit bandwidth to a maximum of 480mbps. However this is a moot point as even with a theoretical speed of 867mbps on the AC I was unlikely to hit even a fraction of this speed. Testing proved this. Using Lan Test by Totusoft I saw speeds of 139mbps and 101mbps on 2.45ghz N and blistering speeds of 169mbps and 214mbps (write and read) on 5ghz AC. This was at 50ft from a matching Asus AC router with 3 walls in between. I was able to stream hi def video to my laptop for the first time via wifi without any stutter. Impressive stuff. Word of warning for Win 8 64bit users out there, use the install disc. This is priced to go, has the speed and is totally recommended... For anyone looking for upgrade to AC look no where else.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Awesome fans for the price, they push a lot of air. I had issues with my previous fans which made weird noise with vibration. I popped these in, and no more problem

Cons: They can be loud, not a con for me as I expected it since they are high-cfm fans.

Other Thoughts: If you need fans that push a lot of air on a budget, these are your fans. They don't look great and aren't fancy, but they will push major air for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, reliable, great interface.

Pros: Let's get this out of the way immediately. This is the fastest, most reliable router I have ever used and I test quite a few.
Easy to install.
Looks great.
2 x USB ports.
3 detachable external antennas
3x3 stream on N (2.45ghz) so potentially 450mbps and 1300mbps on AC (5ghz)
User Friendly interface.

Cons: Heavy
get's a little hot
needs to have latest 345 firmware installed to get best stability and 2.45ghz performance.
Little expensive, but in line with other 802.11ac routers.

Other Thoughts: In the last month I have tested and used at least 9 different routers including N900 N750 and AC from Netgear, Trendnet, TP-Link, D-Link and of course Asus. I can categorically state right now that the ASUS was hands down the fastest router, the most reliable router and the router that had the best range.

Testing a router is not always easy but I have a laptop that is set in a specific location. The routers that I test are also placed in a very specific location. I test LAN performance by using the same two gigabit wired computers on my network with Totusoft's Lan Test program. I then test Wifi performance by transferring the same files with Lan Test from one wired computer on my network to the laptop and then back again from the laptop to the desktop computer.
The laptop has an onboard 2x2 stream N chipset that will provide a maximum of 300mbps. In order to test AC and retest N I use a matching Asus USB adapter that is good for 300mbps on N (2.45ghz) and 867mbps on AC (5ghz).
My test methods remain consistent throughout testing. I use auto settings on all routers and enable WPA2 AES for best performance. The laptop and router are separated by 50ft with 3 walls in between.
Testing between wired computers Lan Test reported 812mbps write and 584mbps read.
Using the laptop's internal 2x2 N adapter and Lan Test I measured 59mbps write and 58mbps read.
When I fired up the Asus USB adapter Lan Test reported 139mbps write and 101mbps read!!!! Awesome, compare these figures to the laptops internal Intel chipset.
It got even better when I connected to the router via AC. Lan Test reported 168mbps and 214mbps (read and write). Fast enough to stream hidef video without stuttering. This was at 50ft by the way, 5ghz does not have the range of 2.45ghz, so at 50ft color me impressed.
It's not important for me to note here the results of the other routers that were tested in the same way, I can tell you that not one came close to providing the performance of the Asus. External antennas is exceedingly important to me in a router. Asus got this router perfect in my opinion. Please make sure that the latest 345 firmware is used. The interface was a joy to use, it is clean of clutter and reasonably fast to save settings. I recommend this router even for those of you out there that are still using wireless N.... Terrific router....

5 out of 5 eggsEverything I Expected

Pros: Bought for science! It was cheap and I needed it to produce heat for experimentation with various coolant techniques. It did a fine job.
Now it's a server. It is completely passively cooled and only uses around 150 watts.
Could handle 720p youtube video playback last I checked.

Cons: This is an extremely cheap motherboard. It is flimsy and has only PCI ports. It doesn't have Gigabit Ethernet. and it only supports IDE ribbon cables. No SATA here.
It comes with a soldered on Celeron @ 1.3GHz which cannot be replaced and is very slow. Only has 2 DIMM slots for DDR2 memory.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this to be your primary desktop. It does a fine job as a Linux server though.
Bought back in 2011 still works today.

5 out of 5 eggsGeneral Office Use

Pros: Smart looking, crisp key response, USB port, smaller footprint, wrist rest, volume control

Cons: No Cons yet.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this keyboard for general office use, spending my entire day at the computer. I do not use it for gaming. I really like the look of the black brushed aluminum base with the keys mounted directly on top rather than set within a plastic frame. The overall size of the keyboard is smaller than most multimedia type boards. The keys are not smaller, there is just no additional plastic surrounding the keys or on the sides of the board. The base of the board pretty much ends on the right and left at the edge of the keys which I like because my desktop real estate is valuable. The wrist rest has a nice leather-like texture. The wrist rest is fairly low compared to the add-on rests generally available. All the keys have standard notations like any commercial keyboard, unlike some of the other gaming boards. Since I listen to Pandora while I work, I really like the volume mute button and the volume control roll-wheel. Also a volume scroll bar temporarily comes up on the screen when volume adjustments are made. The keystrokes are nice and crisp and the sound of the keystrokes are only slightly louder than the membrane board that I have been using for years. The volume of the strokes are in direct relation to how hard you hit the keys when you type. A lighter type strike results in quieter key sounds. The keyboard has 4 legs instead of the 2 normally found included. You can have the entire board elevated and basically parallel to the desktop or you can set the board at an angle. Since I have used my other premium keyboard for several years before replacing it with the Corsair, it is taking a little getting used to because the spacing is slightly different. The F-keys are closer to the top row of numeric keys than my other board but I am sure that I will get used to it with time. Overall, I really like the feel and quality of my new Corsair keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks Factory-Installed in my Case!

Pros: Solid workmanship- no rattles. Excellent spacing for HD. very good Foam filter in front, which is removable to clean by flipping down door.

Cons: Stock fan is weak, and needed to be spun on startup like an old prop airplane to get it going. Not a problem, since I had already decided to put a super quiet 2,000 rpm fan replacement in there instead.

Other Thoughts: This is the EXACT same product as the Vantec which is discontinued. I have two of those, so I have examined closely. Since that one is not sold anymore, I think Evercool bought the rights to make it. They produce the same high fit and finish and attention to detail, as this is a great addition to any case.

5 out of 5 eggsI was an AMD guy.

Pros: Simply Incredible

Cons: Pricey (but worth it)

Other Thoughts: I used AMD on all of my builds before this one. I was always happy with their processors, but this is the first one that has blown me away. I can see now why Intel is more expensive...and the choice of many enthusiasts. This little chip is a tank, and a fast one. I'm glad I forked over the extra $ for this processor.

5 out of 5 eggsSound Blaster Z

Pros: Great sound card.
I cross from Realtek (EVGA Z77 FTW) on Sound Blaster Z
and difference is really big. I recommend to everybody for gaming, music, movies.
I have old Creative Inspire T5900
5.1 System but still is excellent and now is good combination with this card.
My card came with 100% Nichicon fine gold caps.
I hear not every model came with that.
Before I heard lot of complain on drivers, people installed beta and mod drivers. Now no problem.
Few other softwares I didn't installed at all.
I don't know for Sound Blaster ZX because I don't need Audio Control Modul(ACM) at all, i have similar for spreaker... but this card is huge upgrade for people with Realtek. Before I didn't know where is enemy in games, near me, behind me, in front of me or everybody is dead now I hear lot of sound I didn't know that exist at all.
I wait long time to came this model in my country and I'm glad because choose SB-Z not Recon.

Cons: I have complains on Creative Discussion Forum but I will not give less rating because of that. I only can say Isus can help if something don't work and you need them.
I registred to tell people about great products and ask about options in manager because It's lot of them and I want to ask about experience for best setting.
After few days I can log but can't post like I didn't click on activation link. Nobody from people don't want to answer on private mail.

Other Thoughts: Card look great and work great,
-sound is excellent,
-drivers are good,
-sound manager have lot of options
-red led look really cool inside case
-Core3D CPU
-gold plated connectors
-600AMP
-24bit 192KHz
-100% Nichicon fine gold caps
-easy installation
-good explanation and user guide

Recommend to everybody
