1 out of 5 eggsNot a real Bunn at this level

Pros: Fast Pot of Coffee, Consistent Brew temp.

Cons: Leaks after several months. RMA's Costly and Slow, Only to Get a Remanufactured Coffeemaker that leaks worse than the one you returned....

Other Thoughts: Temps get so hot it also melt the water diffusing plate over the filter after several months of use. Seals around the top will start to leak after several weeks of months, pending on use. Then in order to have it covered under warranty you need to return it to Bunn and pay $45 to have it shipped back... To get another one that leaks just as bad as the one that you returned...

At this level except for speed it is no better than a MR. COFFEE, and maybe a MR. Coffee is better built.

I now only make 9 cups at a time to prevent leaking. anything more and I have to use a towel to soak up the water that comes out of the top.

I am sorry I purchased this item, and now must live with it. It has already been replaced once, and the replacement they sent leaked worse than the one I sent back. I was not going to spend another $45 for them to send me another re manufactured coffee maker.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh...Not what I like

Pros: I've owned a dozen of the coffee makers you find at your local Wally world or Costmo. They either break within a year or less or they just make bad coffee. This Bunn coffee maker is going to beat 70% of them in terms of giving you a quality cup of coffee. The coffee tastes alright and you'll have a pot of coffee in No Time.

This doesn't have the silly timers, clocks, and other strange features you'll find in a high-end Wally World coffee maker. I have never used those features in any of the coffee makers I've purchased.

It does make coffee that tastes good. Although you will have to use a few more grinds to have it at the same strength compared to a cheaper coffee maker.

The only thing that makes me happy about this coffee maker is I can prepare 8 cups of coffee and it will be ready in a blink of an eye.

The filters are a non-issue because they're just as cheap as any other filter. Whenever you switch to another coffee maker you will have to buy new filters.

Cons: My biggest con is the coffee just isn't hot enough for my tastes. I was hoping it would be just as hot as the coffee you'd get at 7.11. It's not even clost to that. I like my coffee to be hot enough that I have to take small sips of it.

The coffee will drip out out of the dencanter when you go to pour it. The only way to avoid this is to either pour it fast or slow. There is no inbetween.

You have to use more grinds if you want stronger coffee.

Other Thoughts: I think it's silly for someone to come on here and write a review that bashes another reviewer. What I wrote is what it is. The coffee isn't strong enough, it isn't hot enough, and it spills if you don't pour it the right way.

I used to use canned coffee grounds. The I made the mistake of buying a large bag of full beans. Now, anything that comes from the can tastes like cardboard.

It's not worth the $85 I paid for it. The $50 C-Art coffee makers make better coffee. I wish the C-Art coffee make I bought didn't break.

I'll admit that anything from B and D, Missur Coffee, and Gee-E won't stack up to this coffee maker.

4 out of 5 eggsBunn NHB 10 Cup Home Velocity Brewer

Pros: Makes a good pot of coffee fast

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Found the same thing on another popular online shopping sight for $90 with free shipping. Newegg is still my primary shopping site though. Good service and fast delivery. Had to take 1 egg off cause of price difference and shipping.

2 out of 5 eggsleaky

Pros: Makes great coffee - I've had 2 of these.

Cons: LEAKS like a sieve. This is a well known, long standing issue with this. It just brews too fast. If they used a smaller tube to limit the flow, that might work. Otherwise drill out the hole in the filter holder so it will run through faster, but you'll probably have weaker coffee. I end up putting the whole thing in a cafeteria tray (or decorative tray) to catch the overflow.

Other Thoughts: Bunn, you really should have fixed this a long time ago, but apparently choose not to!

5 out of 5 eggsCan't beat it!

Pros: Have one of these in our upstairs office at work. Used to make 1-3 pots of coffee a day for almost 2 years now. Just keeps chugging along no problems. Have commercial model Bunn's in the downstairs offices. These are all top quality machines and make great coffee. I have been working for the same oil company for 22 years and we use Bunn's at all the shorebase. In all that time I have only seen 2 of them fail. One because someone left it on for a long period of time without using it and let the tank go dry (burned up the heating element) and the other because someone broke the spray head while cleaning the coffee maker. Neither of these problems were poor quality on the part of the manufacturer but were the result of end - user abuse.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsBunn "Instant coffee"

Pros: Good quality build. I had mine for more than 4 years and no problems. Not made in China!

Cons: If you don't make coffee everyday you should expect evaporation. I always cycle with plain water and pour whatever water I need into the pot to compensate for shortage.

Other Thoughts: To make great coffee use whole bean I like Duncan doughnuts coffee regular or A&P Columbia. and once in a while pour in white vinegar and keep cycling with water until you can't taste the vinegar.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, fast coffee

Pros: Brews at ideal temp. Water is pre-heated so coffee is made quickly.

Cons: Uses more electricity than conventional brewer because it keeps a reservoir of heated water.

Other Thoughts: This is my second one. The first one lasted about 6 years.

5 out of 5 eggsImproved quality

Pros: IMPROVED DESIGN SHOULDN'T CRACK, quick speed, makes great coffee, easy to clean

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: We recently bought our 4th Bunn coffee maker in 18 years or so, each one lasting at least 4 years. The last one had the cracking problem others have mentioned, but it appears that problem has been addressed by reshaping that part in a way that I hope will eliminate that possibility. So don't be scared off by reviews of older versions! If it only lasts 3-4 years, that's OK with me as long as I can always get another one.

3 out of 5 eggsCracked Spray/Drip Plate

Pros: Makes great tasting coffee, and is fast. Quieter than most coffee makers.

Cons: After almost 3 years(one month shy of the 3 warranty) it started to leak cold water onto the counter top when making a pot of coffee.
We figured out the problem, the spray/drip plastic plate, where the holes are that drip water onto the grounds, it is also the part that holds the funnel in place, was completely cracked.
I have read other reviews where this same thing has happened to others on this model. I had to pull out our old Mr. Coffee that we keep as a spare. I may purchase another Bunn, but it won't be this model.
Either the weight of the wet grounds in the funnel, or the heat, or the factor of both, over time completely destroyed the plastic drip/spray plate.

Other Thoughts: If yours starts to leak cold water onto your counter top, pull the funnel basket out and look up under where you pour the water in, to see if it is cracked. That may be the problem.

1 out of 5 eggsRead all warranty options carefully!

Pros: Bunn Coffee Maker worked perfectly....for roughly 2 1/2 months! I got up yesterday morning and the light didn't look right...about half lit. Coffee was good....got up this morning and the light still only lit up halfway, but the coffee was light colored water and the cold as ice...It's dead in the water after only 1 pot a day for approx. 75 DAYS! :(

Cons: The only 'con' is my own fault for buying the thing to start with....Have owned 3-4 over the last 30 years and I forgot why I did not replace the last Bunn that quit (as the others did) with no warning! So, I have no one to blame but myself!

Other Thoughts: Always read both Newegg's and Manfacturer's warranty policies CAREFULLY! For a $20 item, if it dies in a few weeks, you haven't lost much. But, for a nearly $100 item and it dies within 12 weeks of limited use.....not so good! I've seen some older reviews on here that speak of a 3-year warranty, but that's not what shows on this item's description now. Won't buy Bunn again, but through it all, Newegg still ROCKS! I will be back!! :)
