The brightest setting is like having a spotlight in your hand. There are also 2 other modes; SOS and strobe. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this light for the price. I considered an EagleTac but decided on this and am very glad I did. Cons: Batteries are sold separately, which is only a partial con because there are 2 battery types to choose from. I opted for the rechargeables and within that type, there are different capapcities. I purchased the 3100 mAh 18650s with dual protection and a Soshine SC-S2 (Newest version 03) charger from Orbtronic.com. Did you find this review helpful? Turbo mode with 2 x Tenergy Li-Ion 18650 3.7V 2600mAh Battery and the recharge them on the weekend. Very solid flashlight which I have dropped many times and still works flawlessly with no problems at all. I think this is the best flashlight for the money $$$ / lumens you get. No idiotic clumsey head rotation required Super high Fenix build quality Very fair price for such performance and quality Cons: Would like crenulated bezel. Otherwise, no cons. Other Thoughts: Forget about the dinosaur SureFire. They are old technology, super over priced and now part of history. Fenix is state of the art technology and 2012 very fair price.
