5 out of 5 eggsFantastic e-reader

Pros: Awesome battery, perfect shape for holding in hand, micro-SD slot is great for expansion.

Cons: Not much, really.

Other Thoughts: Great e-reader. Only thing I could want would be the light, but that version is a little more expensive

4 out of 5 eggsGreat referb!

Pros: Couldn't really tell that it was used. Worked as expected. Almost no glare.

Cons: There are a few more screen refreshes than I desire. There is some lag between input and display, not a lot but enough to notice.

Other Thoughts: Really nice device for reading. I don't read in the dark but if you do, consider the glow-light version.

5 out of 5 eggsbest e-book reader

Pros: You can change page by pushing one of the 4 buttons or by touching the screen (the kindle can't do this). I like the rubbery feel of the back a lot more than the kindle 4 touch. It supports epub formats (the kindle can't do this). You can select what book you want to read by clicking on their covers (the kindle can't do this). Great battery life. $69 on sale.

Cons: Making "shelves" of books (called collections in the Kindle) is extremely unintuitive. If you own a lot of books, you have to go through every book you own to add a book to the shelf. If you have 20 shelves, you have to go through all of your books 20 times.

Other Thoughts: The usual suspects are Kobo Touch, Kindle 4, Kindle 4 Touch and Nook Glowlight. I've owned the Kindle 4, but it broke ion me. If cost isn't an issue, get the Glowlight. Otherwise, the Nook is a great e-book reader.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat eReader

Pros: Physical buttons, good ergonomics and build quality, great size for reading, runs android 2.2 and can be rooted to install other apps (kindle app, kobo app, opera browser, etc.)

Cons: No audio jack, limited warranty so I hope it will be reliable...

Other Thoughts: Came in perfect condition with USB charging/data cable. No AC adapter as mentionned in previous reviews but I have plenty at home and I mostly plug it in my laptop for charging. Not a reason to give one star like the review below!!!

1 out of 5 eggsMay come incomplete, be warned

Pros: Great reader, just not complete.

Cons: Mine was shipped without the A/C adapter. Newegg's response: "We show it is a recertified item. All recertified items are considered OEM "barebone" parts, which mean Newegg can only guarantee the items by themselves, no other accessories."

4 out of 5 eggsNice eReader

Pros: The light weight, size and incredible easy reading screen. eInk is the way to go if you like outdoors reading. The long lasting battery is another plus. Comes in the nice Barnes and Nobel box and not some OEM brown box.

Cons: The lack of a charger. The one we bought direct from Barnes and Noble came with the charger. This one was missing in the box. The cable is there to charge via your USB on your computer or another USB style charger.

Other Thoughts: Very good deal and finally makes it available to Canada.

1 out of 5 eggsBuggy touch screen

Pros: It is a beautiful and light weight reading device. I only just got it today, but I like the form factor and design of it.

Cons: The lower area of the screen where the menu items and keyboard pop up is very broken. Took me 15 minutes or so to simply register the device so I could use the thing due to the broken typing area. Does not seem to be software related.

I suppose the change of such issues is increased with refurbished devices.

Other Thoughts: I will return it for another device and give it another review when I hopefully get one that works.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent reader

Pros: Light and easy to hold with one hand or two hands for me.
Easy to root and to use CoolReader and other apps for other ebook formats.
Free shipping!

Cons: One month warranty only, but we cannot get it new with warranty in Canada.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat device!

Pros: - Small, Light weight
- Ability to root and have access (but limited access) to Android and its functionalities
- High quality refurbished. It looks brand new.

Cons: - It's a little hard to hold with one hand, due to the ergonomics of the device, but a slight Con depending on how you read
- Only have access to 256 MBs out of the 2GBs of internal storage. Only a problem if you have lots of PDFs. as ePubs are minimal in size.

Other Thoughts: I was a little afraid that it wasn't manufacturer warranty but, it definitely live up to standard of what I expected. I bought this from Canada, where the Nook isn't available. I chose this over the Kobo Touch, and I have no regrets.
