FROM THE MANUFACTURER

The BRF70n is a great mobile router that creates a wireless cloud network that can be shared by iPads, iTouches, smartphones, Kindles, and other Wi-Fi enabled devices. It comes with 7 Internet modes that you can choose from to make use of any wireless network. The Smart Wi-Fi app gives you the ability to further control the connected devices in the network. The built-in power adapter makes the BRF70n an even better wireless solution on-the-go.

KEY FEATURES

Multiple Operating Modes
The BRF70n offers versatile Internet modes (Wi-Fi AP, AP, Wi-Fi ISP, WDS, Repeater, and Client) that you can use to get connected in any wired/wireless environment aside from the regular Router (R) mode. The simplest option is to press the WPS button on the router to extend an existing wireless network to avoid any dead spots in your home/office.

Versatile Connectivity
Powered by the built-in, foldable AC/DC adapter or by a laptop or car charger through the micro USB port

Smart Wi-Fi
Access all of your devices (e.g., laptops, smartphones, cameras, speakers) in the wireless network from Sapido’s exclusive and free Smart Wi-Fi app, the Pdapp. Use this app to share files, monitor your house, listen to music, and manage your network. Supports iOS, Android, and Windows OS. Download the Pdapp for free from the Apple Store, Google Play, or from the router installation GUI.

Pros: Still works great.

The place we stayed had it's own wifi router - rather than keying the very long passkey into each iPod - it plugged this is with a network cable to the router and just bridged the connection. Just like that - all the kids could get their game updates or check e-mail.

Cons: Doesn't recognize my Seagate Satellite HDD when I plug it in. It's medis sharing software is Samba - and I'm not familiar with that yet.

Other Thoughts: iOS7 now complains about a wireless access point not having a connection to the internet - you have to dismiss the warning twice before your iOS7 device will connect to it. Frustrates the kids - and my wife. Apple has yet to add an option to "not bother you with that".

1 out of 5 eggsDisapointed

Pros: Size.

Cons: Installation, Internet connection, Internet speed.

Other Thoughts: Save your money from this. I have 50 Mbps internet connection speed. But when I connect this little one, the speed show up just 3~4 Mbps. My original wireless router's speed is 44 Mbps. It is very disapointed. I want this one for using extened wifi signal, but I cann't.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says

Pros: The instructions are fun to read. Chinese never translates to English directly.

Supports b/g/n wifi. (that's what it says) and my old iPod connected right up - which I think is b.

Cons: First time into admin settings in the browser, do make sure you use IE. Mine didn't load directly into setup - nor did the download of the setup app work on my PC. I clicked a somewhat hard to find link - and then got right into the traditional setup screens.

I'll provide more updates later, so far very pleased.

I can't comment on the other two modes of operation that it does.

Other Thoughts: I picked up this little guy on sale so the kids could all play Minecraft together on road trips on their iPods.

It's awesome - does the job. Runs off USB power cable from my car adapter (it doesn't come with one).
