Not Great, Not Bad
Pros: I got this to replace my old Sony NV-U44. On the plus side this unit has a nice screen, the lane assist is very nice, spoken street names are awesome, it even reads my Saved Favorites names i.e. "Arriving at Dan's Summer House". Recently going to a wedding out in the country, my mom's TomTom unit got her lost, and my LM1450 nailed it. Also lifetime maps, and it takes microSD cards. Mine is the LM unit not the LMT so I don't get traffic. You can save favorites into categories, I sorted my places into work-related sites, friends/family places, touristy stuff I want to eventually do, recommended restaurants, etc...
Cons: One time it tried to get me turn the wrong way onto a one-way street. It's POI database is pathetic compared to my old Sony. Maybe I'm just not spelling things right, but many many times I've had to google the address of a place on my phone and type the address into the LM1450. Also it has a tendency to mistake which road i'm on if I'm very close to another road, it eventually corrects itself though. Also the screen typing is pretty slow.
Other Thoughts: Overall it's a nice unit, it has some great features. And some annoying downsides but no dealbreakers. I got a refurb for $99 and so far not regretting it.
