2 out of 5 eggsWifi Signal

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: The signal quality was great to begin with at a decent price.

Cons: The signal quality has decreased with time, and has continued to the point that I can no longer play games without great lag and disruption. Ping tests had 0% packet loss to begin with and at the moment is up to 10% to 15%

Other Thoughts: The signal quality if it had continued would have been great.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quality

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: The card itself, as well as the antennas, are very high quality; great connection; and the card works great and is reliable.

Cons: Nothing to major really; the only thing is the card physically doesn't look to great. Coming out the back of your rig it looks perfectly fine since all you see are the antennas, but oh well. Not anything to major.

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: Blazing fast....compact size and Very, very dependable ...have purchased two units for different computers in the last year and they both ROCK

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I wish there was something bad I could say but there isn't ....this card is about as perfect as it gets......ESPECIALLY for the price....WOW

5 out of 5 eggsLinux compatible

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: I was happily surprised that this card was linux compatible with no extra software needed. I get a good signal even with a metal framed desk but I plan in getting some remote antennas just because I want better signal.

Cons: Non

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: - Fast!
- Reliable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The 5Ghz 450mbs make it seem like you're using wired connection instead of wireless. In gaming, I only noticed 5-10 ping difference between the two.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome 5GHz adapter

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: -Really fast and stable connection at 5GHz.
-Don't need to install any useless WiFI software if you don't want to.

Cons: -From what I understand by reading other reviews, it doesn't have the greatest range. My PC is pretty close to my access point, so it's not a huge concern for me.

Other Thoughts: I had a USB 2.4GHz-only adapter before this and stepping up to this little card was groundbreaking, especially in an apartment complex with loads of 2.4GHz interference. I would randomly drop connection constantly with my old adapter, even with a very expensive router. Now that I'm running on 5GHz, the only time I ever drop connection is if my ISP drops.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat purchase

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: Worked out of the box with CentOS 6.4, unlike that popular edimax usb adapter that uses the RU8192 driver. Very stable, very fast speeds on 802.11n. Antenna connectors also seemed to be of good quality. Very happy with purchase!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsHackintosh Friendly

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: Hackintosh native compatibility with OS X, The connection speed and range are good.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I used this on a multi-SSD-boot system for the family computer. It works well with Windows 7 and has native support in Apple OS X. I have not seen any dropout and the speed/ range as been decent. I have yet to find a negative, hopefully your experience will be similar.
