5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Easy Setup, Tool Free Drive Insertion and Removal, 6.0gb and 3.0gb drive compatiable. Lockable front access for saftey and USB 3.0/2.0. Hard drive power and activity light/led on front, power switch in the back, but I haven't used it maybe once or twice. No installation required at all like other drive cases you usually have to put them together. I just pop open the front door, let it sit for 30 seconds or so to let the drive spin down and cool a bit and remove drive, then place another one in to check, format, clone, or whatever. Nice little device, very pleased I got it. Fast transfers, large single files like movies, about 200-210 Mbps after 520 boost, if lots of single files in directories, or databases, runs about 110 thru 160, and thats to SATA 7200 64MB Drives and SSD, so, not bad at all. 5 years ago, transfers would have been about 10 to 25, no matter what lol, gotta love the old 1.5 days, course talking to someone who did databases on actual punchcards here, so, yeah, haha.

Cons: USB 3.0 Cable could be longer but you can buy one thats longer, definately worth it for this device. Only works with SATA drives, 3.5. If you want to use SSD drives in it, buy an 2.5 to 3.5 adapter and make sure that the SATA connections will be at the very edge, lined up with the 3.5 and your good to go, actually made my own with other stuff I have from building PCs for years.

Other Thoughts: Sturdy, solid feel to it, fast, cheap. Great. Definately recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes NOT work

Pros: None!

Cons: This unit does not work and I cannot get any help from Orico! Using the USB 3.0 it starts out fine but then it keeps clicking and stopping then starting again then stopping over and over!

Other Thoughts: Newegg, I need some help on this as I can't get any help from Orico. I have spent way too much money with you guys to be ignored on this one!

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Design

Pros: Easy to install the hard drive. Nothing else.

Cons: It does not have sufficient cooling capacity for the hard drive. The drive ends up overheating after a short period and starts clunking from read failures, and disconnects. This happens with multiple good drives. The hard drives themselves work fine after removal and placed into another dock.

5 out of 5 eggsBest single drive case

Pros: This case is well built, and solid. You can feel the heft in your hands when inserting or removing a drive. I'm using a 1TB drive in it to expand the storage of my Dish DVR without any issues.

Cons: Door doesn't open flat all the way as in the picture. I didn't want to force it down, but it doesn't prevent drives from being inserted or removed.

Other Thoughts: Planning on buying some more when they get back in stock.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work!

Pros: Can't give it any pros yet as it only works for a few seconds using the USB3 port and then quits!

Cons: It does not work! Copy or writing using the USB 3 port works for a very short time then stops and windows 8 gives an error message. First BAD product I have ever received from Newegg and I have been buying from them for a long, long time.

5 out of 5 eggsQuick mount enclosure

Pros: I really like this enclosure. It's no fuss. No tiny screws rolling around. Tools not needed. Drop in the drive, close the door, plug it in. Very slick.

Cons: A bit more expensive, but very good quality.

Other Thoughts: I got such a good deal on a refurb drive that I decided to try this enclosure. Good move, I think.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little enclosure.

Pros: Works exactly as advertised. I dropped in a WD 3 TB Red HDD and got it up and running within a few minutes.

Cons: Price. But that's just me.
