Pros: Two bays. Holds the drive pretty secure, they don't feel like they are going to fall over or anything. USB 3.0. On button. Clone feature is pretty sweet if it works.

Cons: I tried cloning a drive to a drive of the same size and it wouldn't work. The unit just beeped at me. They were different brands, same size, and both drives are confirmed working. I then put in a slightly larger target drive and the clone worked.

Instruction manual needs better translation, some Chinese to English doesn't come across very well.

Other Thoughts: I am going to use this and update this review in a month or two after putting it through its paces.

Pros: none

Cons: It just doesn't work. I can see the drive on both my computers but neither computer can open the drive up and read/write to it. The hard drive works just fine in an external drive case.

Other Thoughts: I am still waiting for the response from the company as to a resolution. My mistake was waiting until the 30 return was past.

Pros: No choices when it comes to how you want to clone the drive

Cons: When cloning a smaller drive to a bigger drive, it copied the smaller drive completely and left the remainder as unformatted, or whatever the term is... unused space.
(Unallocated... there, I remembered the name!)Had to use a third party program to change the partitions to use the unallocated space as a part of the original drive rather than as a separate partition and yet another drive letter.

Other Thoughts: This unit would be GREAT for someone cloning several drives as needed for putting together several systems for sale, but made for more work having to use a third party partition manager just to regain the extra space cloning a smaller drive to a larger drive. It might well be a faster way to back up your system, if you happen to have an extra hard drive just laying around. And, in the case of a hard drive failure in your main computer, you'd have an instant replacement to put in in its place, rather than using restore dvd's and a new drive.

Pros: Love this item...If you are working on a project that require you to reinstall the operating system (OS) on several PCs this is a item that you should have on your side. Once you install the OS on one hard drive it allows you to clone the hard drive to as many as you will need. This will work as long as the computers have the same specification in hardware. If they do not then you will run into problems. I prefer this one over the other because it is set and read for 3.5 and 2.5 without hunting for adapters to stabilize the drive in the adapter...the one to buy.

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: I am comparing this purchase to two Thermalke (sp?) docks which both had issues on OS-X (Snow Leopard--Mountain Lion). The Thermalke drives were significantly less expensive but I saved nothing by buying 3 docks until I got one that doesn't spontaneously unmount my partitions. The Orico is well made and hasn't exhibited a single instance of anything other than the performance for which I purchased it.

That said, it has a feature that (allegedly) copies drives without the use of a computer. I have not needed or used that feature (yet) so cannot comment on how well it works.
