Pros: Well 5 HDD bay's and USB 3 making my mess of multiple caddys and hdd laying around my apt disappear

Cons: Out of the box no power like the other reviewers said. I read the bad reviews before I bought the item but since new egg is awesome figured I would give it a shot do to the potential benefits if it worked.

Other Thoughts: I removed all the small screws on the bottom of the case and slide the outside aluminum housing forward revealing the inside of the device (near the power plug). First thing I noticed was a toggle switch which was in the 230v position. Flipped it too 115v and viola the device powered on and is now working perfectly.

I believe the manufacturer forgot to cut out a space for the voltage toggle switch which is why other purchasers believed the device to be DOA. Turned out the toggle switch was inside the housing. Honestly Im happy it works well and i got it at a great price!

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Completely dead on arrival. It just sits there like a brick.

Other Thoughts: Has anyone purchased one of these that worked? My unit was delivered this afternoon. I installed the drives as instructed, attached the eSATA cable, inserted the power line and ... nothing! No lights, no signs of life, no fan activity no nothing. It's as if someone forgot to hook up the power supply. It appears from the other two reviews that this is a universal experience with this product. Unfortunately, the first two reviews were posted shortly AFTER I purchased the product, even though they were apparently written a while ago. Clearly no one should buy this product. Why is New Egg selling a product that apparently has never worked for any client? What's wrong with this picture?

Pros: Great Specs

Cons: DOA. No response from ORICO support email listed.
RMAed for replacement, but I think I'll be changing that to a refund request.

Other Thoughts: I'd really like to give it zero eggs, but not an option.

The price is good, but I can get a similar unit from DAToptic with actual support for not much more. You get what you pay for.

Pros: Very nice specs.

Cons: This device was dead on arrival. Just didn't turn on. I understand that failures happen, but this company seems to have a systemic problem. Since I was really impressed with the specs and needed something fast, I ordered this model after returning another, less expensive device (3559UI3-SV). That one had the same exact problem: it just didn't turn on. ORICO support said 'that shipment got damaged along the way' and ignored my suggestion to show it's committed to its customer and ship a working device to me. Honestly, I don't buy the "damage along the way" story, because the device and the box were in perfect condition. They must have a manufacturing problem of some kind.

Other Thoughts: Unless you want to want to be a guinea pig like I was, stay away. "First from Asia" sounds nice in theory, but costs you money in practice.
