So far, each enclosure works fine by itself. I haven't put them to any real speed or other tests yet. Cons: I can't daisy-chain a pair of these! They both have the same GUID, 0x10101940000000. That's supposed to be "globally unique ID", folks. Each enclosure has two Firewire 800 ports, so daisy chaining is a pretty obvious thing to try. I'm looking for solutions. There are reports of an Oxford firmware updater that allows one to fix this, but (a) it's old and won't run on Mountain Lion, and (b) these seem to use Initio 1615 controllers, not Oxford.
