2 out of 5 eggswireless kinda... bad!

Pros: Looks great on paper :/

Cons: Wired connection fast, wireless EXTREMELY SLOW!
18Mb/s!! sometimes 24. Not easy to mod, support and help terrible on TrendNet website.
Oh yeah! It's friggin slow!
Usb Port software is lame and Compatability w/Win7 questionable.

Other Thoughts: Shop around more, read reviews, get something else!
TrendNet, booo!

2 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected

Pros: -Wireless n 300Mbps (draft 2.0)
-Gigabit
-USB port

Cons: -Connection issues (Intermittently drops)
-Clunky firmware

Other Thoughts: I bought this router to upgrade my previous router (TEW-BRP432) also from TRENDnet. It has the latest features of a high end router for a decent price. It also has a USB port that I thought would be cool to use for a NAS (Network Attached Storage) system. I was thoroughly mistaken. For example, when you attach a USB storage drive to the router, a utility has to be installed on each computer that you want to connect to the drive. On top of that, only one user can connect to the drive at a time and the utility is only compatible with Windows (no Linux or OS/X.) What I was expecting was more like a NAS solution which the routers firmware itself would handle the USB share.

With that being said, I can live with the USB drive share feature or lack thereof (At least for my situation.) What I can't live with is the connection issues. This router intermittently disconnects and it seems like it throttles my connection in a bad way. Don't have issues with my old router also by TRENDne

2 out of 5 eggsExcellent specs, but....

Pros: High end specs
-Wireless n (draft 2.0)
-Gigabit switch
-USB Port

Cons: -Constantly disconnects me from the internet
-Not able to use the USB port for a TRUE NAS
-Firmware is clunky

Other Thoughts: I'm upgrading from another TRENDnet router (432BRP) and thought this router would be an excellent solution because I never had one single issue with my previous router and this one had high end specs for the price. I was wrong. First, since this router states that you can use the USB port for external hard drives, printers, scanners, etc. I looked into attaching my 1 TB hard drive to it to use as a NAS (Network Attached Storage) solution. I was thoroughly mistaken. You have to install a utility on each computer that you want to access the hard drive on. On top of that, only one user can access the storage drive at a time....ARE YOU SERIOUS???

2nd, the router just randomly disconnects and reconnects. Itss the router because I put my old one back on and the issue goes away. Also, I connect directly to my modem and no issues at all.

I can live with the USB situation but. I cannot live with the disconnect issue. If a new firmware doesn't fix this soon, I will RMA this thing.

1 out of 5 eggsSo far, not so good [edit]

Pros: .

Cons: correction to last paragraph of Cons: apparently the last 2 characters got cut off my post. It should read:

"...lighting up the switch LED at 100 speed, not 1000."

To put it another way, a cat6 cable coming directly from the router into a gigabit switch is only registering as 100mbits (per the LED indicator on the switch). My preliminary speed tests seem to confirm this, so I'm not inclined to think the error is with the switch.

1 out of 5 eggsSo far, not so good

Pros: Inexpensive for gigabit/wireless-N

Cons: Firmware is SLOW to update. Anytime you change a setting (and you have to change one setting at a time) it takes 40 seconds to update. That's not just an estimate, the thing literally puts up a page that counts down 40 seconds (120 seconds for operations that require restarting the router such as changing the router's IP addr.) If you have a lot of settings to implement, all the waiting gets insanely annoying.

Having major issues getting my VOIP modem to work with
it (Linksys PAP2t) Not sure if the problem is in the VOIP modem or the router, but I will say this: I've taken the VOIP modem on the road with me and attached it to other routers without so much as a hiccup.

I've been so busy trying to get the VOIP issues resolved I haven't had much time to test the speed. A serious concern I came across last night was that I noticed that the cable (cat6) coming into a gigabit switch (TRENDnet TEG-S50G) directly from the router was lighting up the switch LED at 100 speed, not 10

Other Thoughts: Will probably have to RMA this unless these last two issues fall into place. The ridiculous wait-times for updating settings I can live with. Hopefully they'll release firmware that will cut that nonsense out.

What I won't live with is a Gigabit router performing at 100Mbits.

Wireless-g is fine -- I don't have any Wireless-N adapters so I can't comment on that at this time.

Currently working w/ my VOIP provider to see if we can get some ports triggered to resolve that issue. So far, nothing.

I have to say I've been a happy customer of Trendnet in the past. I've purchased several products from them (the router I was attempting to replace with this one was a Trendnet) over the past few years and have been quite good and a good value. It's not looking like this purchase will continue that tradition however.
