Pros: Good image quality (it's a manual focus) up to 20~30ft away. Night mode has significantly less distance, maybe 10~15ft away tops. Physical install was easy with the included mounting bracket. Software works fine...once you get to know it. Looks like they designed the software to work with other brands too, such as Sony, Phillips, Bosch, ect. which is nice, but not necessary in my case. Great product overall and I just may get another!

Cons: I subtracted an egg due to the software and not the hardware that comes with this kit. It took some work to get the motion detection working properly, mainly because there are so many options in the ProView software, but the settings you need for this specific camera aren't listed in the manual. This camera only works with "software motion detection" which for some reason is only accessible through the setup wizard under "Properties" button after you check the box that says "Use motion detector for stream being set up".
Some features are only available when connected directly to the device page (i.e. 192.168.1.XXX) and not through the ProView software. Things like detected motion regions can only be set from the device directly, audio on/off, night mode on/off, ect.

Other Thoughts: Great PTZ cam for the price.

Pros: Bought two for my house couple months ago, I am building my own security system. The PC Software is ok, you can have many cameras on it, preset camera positions, set schedule recording, it comes with a lot of features, you need to read the manual. Because the camera rotates it can cover way more area that the regular ones.

Cons: Sound not so good, you can hear when camera rotates.
I was not able to setup the motion detection email alerts, but I will try again later.

Other Thoughts: TIP.- The Camera has a manual image focus in the front, When I got the second camera the images were bad in compare with the first one, after discovering the manual focus, I was able to tune image on both cameras.

mobile software, I was not able to make it work, had to download third party mobile software I used "IP Cam Viewer Pro". In order to use mobile apps you need to setup your router with a Dynamic DNS provider, I used DynDNS and setup Virtual Servers. YouTube has a lot of videos on how to do this.

Pros: Was cheap at the time of purchase. Privacy button. Decent feature set, had they worked out. Newegg's customer service.

Cons: Unreliable. Wow ... first camera locked up numerous times in the first day of operation, and required power cycling each time to bring back online. Second camera lasted a day before beginning to do the same. Limited user settings and functions. Jerky motion, if not using presets. No speed controls. Servo seems loose and flimsy. Not ready for prime time. Not up to the quality of other Trendnet models, or even far cheaper competitors.

Other Thoughts: Thanks to Newegg for great customer service. Trendnet may have a line defect here, or maybe just a bad product. Numerous other of their models I have implemented, have been rock solid.
