The Dyconn Quartz 2 3.5” HDD 2-bay RAID Enclosure is the perfect data management companion with its sleek aluminum alloy finish and ability to read 2 HDDs at the same time. The Dyconn Quartz 2 provides superior heat dissipation due to its innovative contemporary design and interior cooling system. The unique tray design provides both easy HDD accessibility and limits vibration and shock to the drive while in use. It impressively supports RAID (Normal, RAID 0, RAID 1, Big) and provides the fast data transfer rate of USB 3.0 (up to 5Gbps). A convenient eSata port is added for greater functionality. In addition, the Dyconn Quartz 2 has an intelligent sleep function, which is an economical and efficient data storage tool.

This review is from: Dyconn Quartz 2 - Dual 3.5” SATA HDD 2-bay RAID Enclosure (Normal, RAID 0, RAID 1, Big/Large/Combine) to USB 3.0 & eSATA
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: Took less than 15 minutes to install drives and configure the unit. I'm using two WD 1TB drives I bought some time ago in a RAID1 (mirrored) configuration connected via USB3. I hear the drives spin up/down, but the enclosure itself is very quiet. Fan operation is temperature based. The fan turned on briefly when the unit was powered up, but hasn't been needed since. Note that if you use the eSATA interface your controller must support port replication. This is not an issue with USB3.
