1 out of 5 eggsWorthless

Pros: Big screen, you can download movies on it

Cons: Internet connectivity is terrible. Very frustrating with freezes, and delays.

Other Thoughts: Tried multiple wi-fi locations over the past year with this thing, and 90% of the time it doesn't work right. I'm ready to throw it in the trash.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!. Pay a little more and get something that will actually allow you to get on the internet

5 out of 5 eggsGood fro entry level

Pros: easy to see screen, sets up quickly, plenty of apps.

Cons: crashes often, slow charging, Documents to Go app never worked.

Other Thoughts: First off vitalASC gave great customer service. The day after I placed the order I received a message that someone called regarding my tablet order from Newegg. Assuming the worst I returned the call, only to find out Kevin wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the order. He upgraded to 2 day shipping, and threw in a free case for the tablet. Hearing pleasant news was a nice surprise.
Product wise the VitalASC Star-ST9001 has been adequate. I was not expecting it to equal my new Laptop, but it does all that I ask of it. The screen does not cause headaches, and the lighting adjust easily. Finding Android app to link with my laptop was not a problem. The only exception is that Documents to go has yet to work on the tablet. Youtube and Netflix play just fine , however Plants vs Zombies playes slow, and will reset often. Of course the tablet can run the Kindle app and Facebook with out a glitch.
Battery life is Meh, if you are online it can really go through the battery quickly. The battery charges slowly, and even slower when plugged into a PC. Out of the Box I did a full charge taking over 10 hours. I then had to do a hard restart, luckily this was before I placed any apps in it. That was easy press on and volume down simultaneously, the system worked fine since. I added a 8 Gig mini memory card, and can store movies or more documents.
Over all for the price I cannot complain. Funny how this tablet is more powerful than my laptop I used as an under-grad student.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat service ...BUT

Pros: I can't say enough about the service, excellent. Upgraded my shipping to two days free of charge. Picked this up on sale so got a great price. Haven't heard many good things about the lower end tabs but at this price I'd figure i would give it a shot. Honestly, its hard for me to say much of anything good about this tablet. Maybe coming from multiple high end android smartphones I was expecting too much out of this.

Cons: The browser is so painfully slow, makes it literally unusable. Tried about 10 different ones, all just as slow. The apps open pretty well but do get sluggish at times. The screen resolution is pretty poor, actually hurt my eyes at times. Used it for about a week and sent it back.

Other Thoughts: My advice, If you can cough up a few more bucks get the Nexus 7. It's night and day compared to this. I could see getting this for your kid but that's about it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat tablet. Extraordinary service.

Pros: This is my first Android device so I can't compare it to others or software versions. A co-worker familiar with Android devices was impressed by the fact it wasn't bogged down with a lot of useless apps. When I told him the price he immediately started writing down the info to check it out later.

I like that I can go online with a PC to order apps and the tablet will automatically download them later. That's really useful because tablets browse so much slower and Googles app pages are slow to respond.

But the greatest feature by far is the companies support. When I ordered the tablet I also ordered some other items I thought might be useful. I immediately received a call from Kevin inquiring how I was going to use the additional items. He then informed me there were better options and that I didn't need certain things. He helped me change my order, saved me money and a ton of time and aggravation returning the unnecessary items later. Preemptive service?? Really?? Other companies don't even offer sub-par service. Kevin went above and beyond to make sure my first experience with their company was a good one.

Cons: The tablet seems to function perfectly but the browsing seems very slow. Since this is my first tablet I have no idea whether it's the tablet or the software holding it back. Page loading just seems to take a long time. However, I'm also reading a lot of pages not intended for Android or tablets so it may just be too many ads etc.

The only real problem I haven't gotten resolved yet is the tablet won't connect to a network with a hidden SSID. Kevin was more than happy to forward the issue to their tech support. I have no reason to believe we won't get it figured out. I had a top of the line PDA years ago with the same issue and HP never even bothered to solve it.

Other Thoughts: If this tablet holds up it won't be long for me to feel like I got more than my moneys worth. So many people are complaining that their low end tablets are dying after a few months of use. All this tablet needs to do is continue to work and it will be the best deal going. The customer support already puts VitalASC over the top.
