1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: The software interface that comes with the product seems like it is pretty awesome

Cons: Works well for about an hour. Then starts to go downhill. I was only able to configure this device as a wireless Access Point Twice, and both times the signal dropped out eventually, and now the device will not even work. It is found in the device manager, but Windows Zero and the RaLink utility fail to find this device, or use it.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice to have an opportunity for RMA or at least an investigation into why this device has failed, by ralink's technical support staff

1 out of 5 eggsDead On Arrival - Serious Waste of Time and Money

Pros: Nothing whatsoever.

Cons: Dead On Arrival. Doesnt work. Non-intuitive drivers, cheap plastic dongle.

DO NOT BUY.

Other Thoughts: I wish newegg would stop selling this broken garbage.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for a Month

Pros: Worked for a month, drivers were not intuitive for Windows 7, but Windows 8 they installed fine and quickly. Network reception was good, not great (compared to another desktop and laptop at equal distance from the router, it was always at least 1 bar less)

Cons: After a month, of what I would consider standard use (redirecting the antenna, swapping from one computer to another... once) it fell apart. The antenna broke off of the base, and when trying to reinsert it, will no longer allow Windows to see any networks.

Other Thoughts: I guess 8 bucks gets you one month of wireless N connectivity.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Shipped and arrived quickly without damage

Cons: This hardware (or software) is junk. I spent hours trying to get it to work. Uploaded the included disk - nothing. Went to the OEM site and downloaded their drivers - still no joy. Finally tried an Air card from work, which it found and connected to. Suddenly it also found the home wireless too. Next time I used the computer - no joy. Had to start over, from scratch. Never could get it to connect again - air card or our wireless router.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for.

1 out of 5 eggsDON'T BUY TOMTOP

Pros: None

Cons: Had to call my credit card company to dispute charges. Newegg should not be selling this stuff on their site. Newegg would not refund, said I had to deal with TOMTOP (their contractor). Item was DOA.

Other Thoughts: Tell Newegg to drop TOMTOP and other 3rd party contractors from their Marketplace.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: It's small

Cons: Installs and detects NO networks. AT ALL! It took them over a week to ship it to me, not for me to receive it, for them to SHIP IT!

Other Thoughts: Make it work, and it might be useful. Your products are garbage. Stop making them.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap, works.

Pros: Very inexpensive, small form factor.

Cons: Non intuitive driver CD

Other Thoughts: Good for the price, just make sure when you navigate the driver CD you get the exact model number and use that folder. Would be better if you could just install the drivers by pointing to the right folder via windows, but you have to use their installer for some reason.
